I am giving our season tickets up this year. I go with my daughter who is 11. He has progressed the club but the signs were there last season that he had reached the ceiling. For me the so-called next level is to once again become the West Ham that was famous for playing good football, the West Ham most of us fell in love with, but with more resources than we've ever had. That might not be a guaranteed recipe for success, Champions League or even Europe every year, but surely that would be enough for us to have genuine optimism and not worry about relegation, as the doom merchants predict. Remember, he who dares wins.
