Father mentions St. Teresa's comparison of demons to flies and follows this analogy with a series of spiritual flyswatters, or ways to get rid of the devil and his influence. The whole world is in the power of the evil one, but there is hope. We should be cautious but not scared. There are many prayers that can fend off the devil, including the Sign of the Cross, binding prayers, the Precious Blood prayer, St. Anthony's Brief, the recitation of the holy rosary and others. Sacramentals that are most powerful against the devil include: the scapular, the miraculous medal, blessed palms of St Peter Martyr, blessed salt, blessed oil, holy water, blessed rosaries and others. Thank you ! I’m going to make prayer cards manually with these prayers for my children! I’ve heard that we should be careful about using these prayers over people that are not in our natural order . Otherwise it could cause the demons to retaliate. Father Ripperger has several KZfaq videos and at least one book (that I’m aware of) that mentions that caution.

Pray a Hail Mary, that's all you need to. These are the words that announced the Incarnation and cast out the prince of this world. While I don't discount sacramentals and have profited greatly from them some of the stuff he mentioned can quickly degenerate into superstition if one isn't careful

It only becomes superstition if there is no "reason" (referring to the encyclical letter of John Paul II "Fides et Ratio')

Great sermon as usual Father but a little unfair on flies,lol. Of course I get your context but flies are also God's creatures. As you might be able to tell I'm a huge animal lover and I try my best to shuu flies outside instead of killing them. May Our Lady Of Fatima pray for us all.

The best Confessions are with priests who serve the 1962 & prior Latin Masses and the Liturgy. While these priests may sometimes sound tough, they do exactly what's needed to help you on the way to Salvation. Unfortunately for Protestants who refuse Confession & Purgatory to cleanse souls, they kid themselves about being saved.
