Kobe was killer on the road and Shaw was better at home. What a combo. Watch how smooth and precise Kobe's moves are and at full speed. He made everyone else look like a level below him.

Bill Simmons sent me here to watch a classic. I can’t help but notice Shaq giving absolutely 0 effort on literally every single defensive possession they showed of him outside of 1 block. He just looked at and waved to everyone as they drove by. Thibs could never.

To be fair he had 2 offensive fouls in the first half and 3 total. He really couldn't take risks defensively. Just a bad night for him for fouls. Its not like he didn't have 7 blks and 21 rebounds in Game 1, or 3 blks and 20 rebounds in Game 2 or anything. But the 2 games on the road he was in foul trouble. Its the way it used to always go.

Its just crazy to think that modern NBA fans think these players couldn't hang today. Literally everyone is skilled and athletic here. You got role players off the bench hitting contested fall away jumpers and big men all the moves in the post. Guys like Stojakovic and Turkoglu would be absolute stars in todays league.

23 years passed, I am still enjoying this Lakers game where Shaq acted like my sister walking in the shopping mall.

One of the best games I ever seen Kobe play and he had a lot of great games 2001 playoffs….the kings got their asses kicked but this was the series I realized hedo turkolou could ball because Rick Fox had Peja on smash but hedo kicked up when they would bench him

And to realize if Ricky berry had lived long enough and be on this kings team the kings would've won and been nba champs

If was kings i would've started bobby jackson and bibby instead of Christie

Christie's job was to spend all his focus on slowing Kobe down. Bibby would have fouled out early trying to stop Kobe

I remember this series, Bobby Jackson was doing a better job than Mike Bibby and he wasn't getting enough minutes.
@Riles31525 ай бұрын
Mike Bibby was the 2nd most valuable player on that 02 Kings squad, after C-Webb. HE was the one taking and making the biggest shots for the Kings in that Laker series.

Bibby wasn’t on this team he was traded to the kings for Jason Williams after this series

@@ShaadsComicsandBeers yes im a lakers fan and the kings got robbed
@ShaadsComicsandBeers9 ай бұрын
@@TMD-g8o really lol. They took all the belongings and even the cat from the Kings but seriously that was a series I think we all wished the NBA would've stayed out of. I honestly still think the Lakers would've won the series but let the players decide that, not the league.

The Kings were up 20 plus points in game 4 of 2002 and the lakers had one of the greatest comeback I’ve ever seen
