Liam Neeson's threat to the kidnappers will always be the most legendary, meme worthy and chilling ever uttered in a film. The fact that his character then goes all out and delivers to rescue his daughter only adds to it.

It's a dark, beautiful, and affecting movie, because the threat is real. This kind of thing is happening every day, and it could happen to someone we know. But nobody can do anything like Neeson does, because it's just not possible, no matter how much a father loves his daughter. So it is very satisfying to see someone, somehow, doing what we would all wish to do: save a loved one from a horrible fate. The sequels are decent, but it's the first film that is most emotional.

As the father of a daughter, I completely understand what he was feeling. I have no special skills to employ, but I can promise that Paris would remember me long after Hitler was forgotten if this happened to me.

Great movie. Other great movies like that are Equalizer with Denzel Washington and the first Bourne Identity movie. Other great Liam Nisson movies are Rob Roy 1995 and Darkman 1990 which is an original superhero movie Sam Ramie made before he got the rights to do the Spiderman movies. Another great movie like this is the first Jack Reacher (Which has a great Amazon series named Reacher). A more recent . real and serious movie about human trafficking' is sound of freedom which you should see.

4:48 a "fan" of John Lennon ended up shooting him and killing him, the lead singer to The Beatles. jealousy can lead a person to do horrible things. this is a great movie, very sad and horrible that these things do actually happen in real life. i'm glad you watched it, it's a great trilogy! 👍

Dimebag Darrel Abbot, also Bjork had a crazed fan, too. He mailed her a bomb that apparently was a dud or something and committed suicide on film, that clearly didn't go anywhere year as planned (he used a caliber gun too small so he didn't die right away). There's also a recent one of a girl that was an American Idol if I'm not mistaken, she was killed by a crazed fan, too.

8:04 it's because he was good looking. Same with guys when we get honeypotted. Pretty girl flirts with us and gets us alone to rob us. happened to a co worker of mine. Met a pretty girl in a night club. Took her home and when he opened his door, some guys showed up and forced their way in. Robbed him blind.

Luc Besson movies should be watched! All 3 Transporter, la Femme Nikkita, first, followed by the Professional, fifth element, Jupiter rising, and others!!
