This was my first Saddleback purchase in 2009..... I still use it daily till this day, you cant but just fall in love with it more every day goes by!

This was my first Saddleback purchase in 2010. I was fed up with buying a new briefcase every few years because they would tear or the stitching would come loose. I did an internet search for something like "best briefcase money can buy" and this bag came up. I loved the aesthetic. It took me while to convince myself to spend the money but I finally pulled the trigger. It may have been the crocodile that convinced me. 13 years later the bag has cost me about 10 cents a day. Still going strong, not a tear or a loose stitch. I have often used it as a suitcase for one bag travel on shorter trips.It's now soft and a little floppy but then so am I. It IS big. It holds A LOT. I used to haul it in and out of DC every day on the train filled with my computer, an iPad, workout clothes, my lunch, a thermos of coffee, a book, and all my every day carry stuff. One day my thermos leaked coffee all inside the bag. The bag didn't leak, it held the coffee until I got off the subway and dumped it out. That how tight the stiching is. (Don't try this intentionally though.) If you need a bag this size, get it. You won't be sorry, If you don't, the slim briefcase or the Fourteener are great for smaller loads. I have a Fourteener now as well (well, it was a Thirteener when I got it but, title inflation) which I use more now that I am not commuting everyday. It's perfect for my laptop, a book, assorted EDC and a water bottle. Buy the best; cry once.
