English Channels mix Hindi without translating it. It means they know that their audience is primarily Hindi speaking. Its clear that English is being used only as marketing plank not really as medium of communication.

i ask this question to every hindi pusher & nobody gave me a satisfactory answer - "why cant we adopt sanskrit as the national language ? hindi is a hybrid of sanskrit/arabic/urdu/persian". they reply hindi speakers cant learn Sanskrit because of reason X (eg: too difficult to learn, too much effort etc). then i ask them cant we apply the same logic that other people cannot learn hindi because of reason X ? they have no answer. what happened to Pali ? once the language of Mauryan empire, the tradition kept alive in Thailand but disappeared in India. this hindi pushing nonsense will do the same to very old languages of the world like Tamil,Kannada,Telugu. driving it to extinction. whole India should celebrate all the languages of India.

Well said and yes, please respect every language. Most of our languages have a rich literature and culture behind. It represents us a people and what we have been through. Trying to force one language on all the people is basically trying to kill a part of Bharat’s culture and history. Let’s not do what outsiders tried to do to us.

Samskritam should be our national language. English is our unifying Lingua Franca, our official language, and our bridge to the outside world. Hindi is incapable and unworthy of playing any of these roles.

About 7% Indians speak English, and about 43% speak Hindi. It might be your desire to make 93% speak English, but its easier to make other 47% speak Hindi.

@@amartyakumar3077 Exactly. Sadhguru picks concepts from various shastras, but says that he has not read anything. He refuses to credit anything. In fact he translates Sadhguru to - uneducated guru. Which is false as well. Sadhguru - Satya + Guru, which means Guru who can show path to Satya or enlightenment. There is nothing about educated or not.

Hindi is a unified thread. Why adopt a foreign language as a Common medium? Respectfully,Hindi has a greater reach than.any other regional language. So why not just accept that as a common thread?

Use Samskritam, it’s the root of all languages and easy to learn. Even Tamil has common words with Samskrit though it predates Samskritam. Hindi has too much Urdu and incorporated invading languages from north.

English gives me oppurtunity to communicate with people across the globe. That will be my Link Language. Hindi doesn't even have a proper grammar. We speak a language (Tamil) with a Rich grammar and Literature. We don't like a lower level langauge with no rich grammar and literature to be the Link Language
