Whenever I'm down, confused, or distracted, I get back to a full talk of Sadhguru with David Eagleman. @niyati493 sorry, not true at all, mainstream science is not the best version of science that we have, science and spirituality have been unified, the main issue is with physics, replace the physics that we have with a new one, it will change all other sciences because physics is the fundamental science, and guess what we have done this already, there is a new version of physics called Unified Physics, that changes everything, everything you have been taught in science about the nature of reality, including our understanding of consciousness, please see my comments in the discussion above by @4SELAMATDATANG may the vacuum be with you!

@@user-cu8jz2lt9d The educated doctor's name is Pinker, and I don't think Sadguru has a good idea of the findings of neuroscience. But one thing has not been observed in a convincing way: A consciousness without a brain. On the other hand, as Pinker has noted, there are tons of evidence that brain degradation goes hand in hand with cognitive degradation.
@user-cu8jz2lt9d
@user-cu8jz2lt9d 7 ай бұрын
@@karlschmied6218 sadguru already defined a term called awareness and that is directly depends on the tool called Brain as that is the point all 5 interface (senses - interfacing with rest of world) gets converted to intelligence. That is the coordinating point from those information flow into the mind. The yogic understanding goes this way. There are 5 karma indriyas = physical manifestation of 5 senses they are eyes, ears, nose, tounge, and skin. Then there are 5 gnana indriyas = the software portion of those five physical manifestation. The reason one feels the hand even after amputation is the gnana indriyas associated with the person which is soft portion has not got impacted. In this the mind, intelligence and ego also are considered as Indriyas in other words they are also interfacing the consciousness with the rest of the world. That is why sadguru was repeatedly saying consciousness is that portion called "chith" which is that not touched by any portion of the physical body. The physical body at higher level consist of 24 layers and 25th layer is the consciousness. The 24 layers are further divided to multiple sub components.

It just struck me that when you are focusing outward, you experience being the part exploring the parts. When you are focusing inward, you experience your relationship to an even greater whole within the realm that is consciousness. The key is to do BOTH simultaneously, with amount of focus varying depending on how you are moved to experience in the moment.

Seeing the world from the eye of the brain and knowing the earth from the eye of the spirit is a process. I believe Sadhguru helps bring awareness to our inner knowledge. The miracle is that the Earth holds all elements we humans need and science wants to extract them while in truth we should attract it. Sadhguru emphasises life as an experiential and ‘INCLUSIVE’ phenomenon. It is the second part that creates all this confusion between science and spirituality. If u tell the scientist just the first thing he will say experience can be subjective n can be influenced by so many things hence subject to possible errors in perception. This is half understanding of life. Sadhguru is the first person who used this word inclusiveness to fill that understanding gap in my head about life. 🙏🏻😌

Pinker is stuck on much more than just language. He is stuck in his Ego that Sadhguru kindly qualified as " Education". If a dentist gives me an anesthetic to numb a tooth, I am still conscious, I am conscious of the lack of pain. A lack of pain does not equate to a lack of consciousness, it equates to a different experience for consciousness to experience. It alters the way consciousness interprets it's surroundings and experiences through the medium of the brain. The brain is like the universal translator that allows consciousness to experience it's existence, it is not the source of consciousness, nor does putting electrodes on someones synapses prove that consciousness is formed in the brain, it merely alters the experience that consciousness has, like switching the translation device to a different language.
