In ancient India, these 2 words didn't have different meanings. These days, people think of a "Guru" as a religious preacher but the closest literal translation of the word Guru is teacher. A Guru holds all the knowledge in the world and imparts to them who come to him in search of answers/ education.

@Danielle McMahon before having this information I tried, but couldn’t. I was wearing only black for 20 years. But after seeing this video, I understood and wanted to try. And I saw that it works. Now my wardrobe is mostly white and some colours.

When I was a teen, friends told me to wear black because it was neutral. It was to avoid being a center of attention and to "blend" more with people around you. That was how I started having mostly black outfits. However, I have stopped buying black clothes because over the years I found it a depressing colour. Maybe it is just me.

Basically it’s not that bad, but be aware of how much you wear. Black can also express confidence in your situation, professionally, and it allows brighter colors to stand out.

"Black can express confidence" - how dare you contradict the wise pronouncements of Sadhuru who knows everything. LOL Did he say there is any exception to the truths he propounds ? If people like you start noting exceptions he will start losing popularity and it will much hurt his ego. During an interview on TV in India, when the other guy made a critical remark, Sadhguru immediately demanded the cameras be turned off! LOL It was in that moment I was sure that Sadhguru, as I had suspected, is a con guru.

This is for us to wear white clothes and avoid Black always, Also Fold and arrange our Clothes, neat the room and make sure our bed is spread properly even the atmosphere in a neat and clean room or place is always gives positive vibes and energy. Thirdly, We should always wear Organic (Cotton) clothes not polyester !

Very interesting. I've always folded my clothes and made my bed since I was little, but I've been wearing alot of black for as long as I can remember. Also a mix of polyester and cotton. It is interesting to think now how priests, nurses and doctors all wear white. Martial arts uniform is typically white too.

I don't like polyester clothes. I miss cotton 😞 😕. The cotton used to breath when wearing it. Even sheets felt better sleeping in them. It's hard to find just plain cotton material

I’ve been a goth since the 80’s and adore my black clothing. But as I’ve gotten older (matured) I have been gravitating towards lighter and white clothing . Funny it seems that now as I can tolerate people less, I need the white clothing! Lol Goths can wear black when in the company of other goths, we absorb each other. It’s great. But wearing black in other situations- nope! This was a real eye opener and makes a lot of sense! Thank you for the insight and wisdom- you always make me more centered! Peace.

Same here! I'm a metalhead/goth whatever they call it tbh and my whole wardrobe contains mostly black clothing but recently I've been naturally gravitated towards colourful but stylish and cool clothing... I just avoid buying black now that's all and no one could ever tell I'm a metalhead anyways! :)

I'm a staunch Hindu. My late father taught us pray to God, respect your parents , love your family. Do good, think good, help the needys. Don't blindly listen to priests, or some kind saints clown and their preches. Also don't fall on any outsiders's feet stupidity. Get blessing from your own parents, elder siblings, grandparents. Don't convert to other religion and don't criticize other religions and their beliefs.

The really interesting thing about the visual range is that it's *one* octave. This is actually quite deliberate and is useful - we don't need to be distracted by the harmonics. Hence we can perceive plenty from just one octave split into 1/3 octave bands. Colour is a secondary attribute denoting quality, it is overall luminosity which presents a sufficient structure to navigate with - and that is dealt with by a different optical system - the rods rather than the cones.

This is absolutely baseless because: 1. Movement of Rudraksha: It's called Ideomotor effect. Similar to what happens with a moving planchet on an Ouija board. No mysticism here. 2. Black vs White: These materials are absorbing or reflecting electromagnetic waves part of the 'visible spectrum' (380 - 700 nm). Those outside of this range (for example X rays or Gamma rays) can easily penetrate a substance or be reflected regardless of its perceived color. There's no evidence to prove that the negative or positive vibrations that the man is talking about falls in the visible spectrum. Alternatively, if his theory is to be believed, anyone with dark skin should be absorbing all 'vibrations' if they go anywhere shirtless.

Its hard to find organic fibers that I can afford. When I choose my children's clothes and mine I try to find the highest percentage of cotton or linen. Most is mixed with polyester. Its unfortunate they keep producing damaging items.

1. In olden days, when we were young, we were asked to fold the beds and sheets and keep them in their assigned place. Beds were not allowed to be kept spreaded throughout the day as it attracts negative energy. 2. Dothis, etc were all in white. Black was not allowed, especially while offering prayers. 3. Hope everyone switches to cotton wear and avoid polyester

Sadhguru, can my T-shirts be crumbled if I put them away for laundry washing ? When I drink from my cup, should I use my left hand or my rght hand? Please elabrate further: does it depend if I drink before noon or after noon. In which case will it attract negative energy (demons) and in which case positive energy? Also should I drink from my blue cup in the morning and my red cup in the afternoon - or the reverse ? Its astonishing that billions of people for many centuries were been able to live wihout your wise advice and that at least 20 % of the wars cased by tensions could have been avoided if you had been around and told them what color of clothes to wear. Whenever I wear polyester, nylon, woolen clothes I used to feel restless. I can never-ever sleep on them. For sleeping, I need cotton. I never knew why.

I always make my bed once I wake up since childhood. People call me ocd, yet it is just being organized & everything has it's neat place. Had people comment on how I always had light to white decor instead of black that they suggested. I no longer talk to those people of course.

@@SS-yw1sb Which is probably why Hindu priests almost always wear saffron robes, while Buddhist monks wear red. It absorbs some energy, but not all of it. Saffron is a balanced colour and i find it very peaceful.

Sadguru namaskaram. When we talk about colour/energy absorption/radiation - Earth receives energy from all sides including that from Sun. Now we are putting up acres and acres of solar panels; energies that would have otherwise been reflected back into space, are now being trapped on Earth, be it in which ever form. IMHO Earth's entropy or it's energy equilibrium with rest of the universe is being adversely affected. Please share your enlightened perspective in this regard. Isn't this the root cause of nature fury in the form of extreme summers in Europe, a continent that used to be termed as "cold countries" by my grandmother, and floods in some of our places that are considered Hot (Telangana, rayala seems etc).
