TokyoStreetView - Japan The Beautiful

5 жыл бұрын

Having been a port since the medieval times, Shukunegi went through a prosperous 17th century brought about by the Sado Kinzan Gold Mine. It was developed as a kitamaebune (a famous shipping route from the Edo period) port of call for the merchant shipping industry. Facing a small inlet, Shukunegi is characterised by the crowded rows of over 100 houses built with plate walls made from ship planks. It has been designated as a National Important Preservation Area for Traditional Buildings and Architecture.

Beautiful, its good to see how people managed to keep the original looks of the houses from the old time, but feel a bit scary at the same time, imagine walking there at night time.

very narrow street but they still maintain cleanliness, in my country we also have a narrow street and the residents are all seating outside and nobody cares to clean.

Pemukiman di pulau Sado. Tua, antik, berumur panjang. Walaupun lusuh namun terawat bersih, rapi, dan eksotis.

Great video! When you record your walks, are you using any equipment to stabilise the camera or just holding it up the entire time?

@TokyoStreetView

Thanks. I never really map in advance where I am going, however I walk the path first before shooting to make sure I won't be stuck, explaining why on 4:34 I was just fine ;-)

i've always wondered how these small villages deal with sewage and waste. I'm guessing they don't outright dump stuff in this small stream, right?
