Her double layout with full twist is probably the most aesthetically pleasing tumble I've seen anywhere (it's just so pretty in the air!) and that layout-double front is Ivana Hong-style gorgeous too. I just think she has so much power throughout that she can never really harness it and tone it down to land cleanly. This is I think also why she doesn't have good dance elements like leaps and spins which require more finesse and less pure power. I think she has tumbling talent on par with or even greater than Simone Biles, but the main difference is that with Miyakawa you can really see all the power that is necessary whereas Biles executes everything in a way that makes it look effortless.

if she opened up earlier on that double front, I think she could have landed it better.

I feel like if she upgraded it to a piked double front she'd be able to land it better. Her problem now seems to be too much power.

SaintHaHaLOLZ a piked double front would be interesting, but then she would probably have to downgrade her double layout dismount to maybe a double tuck; the double layout during TF was not good at all, landed very short

Gosh, I feel so bad for her after seeing what a horrible coach she had and how he'd slap the shit outta her for mistakes! Makes sense now why she looked so scared to compete and had inconsistency issues. Thank God the JGF banned his abusive ass!

I hate that music, hopefully she can get a medal on floor in 2017 and Murakami too... and Asuka Teramoto has potential in the All Around and Beam Finals so hopefully she can medal as well!

Eh, incluso para mi fue la segunda mejor dificultad después de simone biles, una pena la caída, pero ahora que simone no participará en los jjoo 2021, Japón tiene la posibilidad incluso de llevar oro y Brasil puede llevar plata en el viga de equilibrio con Flavia, bronce en el suelo.

Yea but without the fall it'd be 14.266 and that's pretty low for someone who has 6.5 SV (only 7.766 E without the fall) @@cookiesareyum1043

The fall and then the 0.3 penalty for going out of bounds and 0.2 in uncredited D score because by falling she wasn't credited the connection

But she fell after she performed the connection so I believe that the connection value is credited, also she landed on her feet before she fell so the skill (as well as the CV) is credited.@@ChainChomp2

She only received a 6.3 D score for this exercise in qualifications, while in the team final she received a 6.5 where she didn't fall on the acro line (and all the other elements were counted the same, including not giving full value of the turning straddle jump she attempts after the first acro line, or it'd be 6.6) From the 2013-2016 WAG CoP under Section 7.4 under item E, and 8.3 (page 3) it states that the connection "has to be performed without a fall" or "performance of connection with fall" incurs 1.00 with no connection (or series bonus in the case of beam) credited
