@@TitaJosie yup a lot of kdramas did this but usually the two male leads are like disliking each other and competing to get the girl except those two male leads from reply1988 they're basically bestfriends just like shinwoo and daon which makes it twice worse because it's your own bestfriend liking your crush. shinwoo never forced himself to get what he wants, always took a step back and give a room for taekyung and daon he also encouraged daon to be clear to himself so both him and taekyung can be happy, like he has done EVERYTHING as a bestfriend and that makes me even more sad bcs he just finally got his chance😔

I love Daon so much, but when Shinwoo said if Daon didn't go after Tae he would and Daon replied with "fine" I was like, "well its been a good run, it's time to tap out" . I mean, I loved the back and forth in the race for Tae's heart, but I have to give it to Shinwoo at this point. This is cos Daon has become a physical manifestation of how he has been feeling internally all these years. In the past, even though I knew he was being fake for the most part, he still had a twinkle in his eye, but he is now walking around with a downcast face all miserable. He is in no position to be anyone's boyfriend right now, instead, he should deal with his internal struggles first and love will come later. I really think Shinwoo and Tae should be endgame, but then again it could be the case of Oh-aew not being able to quit Teh all over again. In this case, regardless of how Shinwoo tries to win Tae over, Tae might always hold a candle for Daon.

Additionally, I think as much as lots of viewers including me at this point (sorry Daon) want Tae to choose Shinwoo. We also have to remember that at this very moment, Tae is in love with Daon, and love, especially young love is not a faucet that can be turned on and off as one pleases. So, if Tae suddenly develops feelings for Shinwoo after being in love with Daon just the other day, it might seem rushed. If Tae will end up with Shinwoo then he needs to first get over Daon, if not Shinwoo will just be a rebound guy. About Tae's personality, I think we give him far less credit than he deserves. Tae has grown so much when it comes to social interactions and I am so proud of him. I think he understands Daon's struggles, it's just that he wants the boy he cares so much for to talk to him and share those struggles with him. I believe that his frustration comes from Daon ignoring him. Remember that the two people that seem to understand Daon more (Shinwoo and Namgoong) have been his friends for a while and they are not in love with Daon as far as I know; therefore, the stakes for them are entirely different than Tae's cos he is the one in love with Daon. That is why it makes sense that he would be more emotional over the matter compared to Daon's platonic friends.

I just do not agree with you on the refreshing thing haha, the truth is that the tendency in k-dramas is to create these triangles where one of the characters ends up hurt, I would have preferred that they gave the story a somewhat different direction to facilitate a little life to the characters but it was not like that, regarding Da On you are right, he began to take small steps but he needs time and somehow today he was pressured again.
