Saenchai is the joker of Muay Thai known for all of his antics. But he is no clown, he is the king of kings... an untouchable fighter that is unreadable, precise, and spectacular. Genius may be a word that is often overused, but I think it's safe to say that he truly is a genius of Muay Thai. I can't think of any Muay Thai fighters that fight for decades and seem to hardly slow down like Saenchai, still making it look easy to this day.

Wow!!! I'm a true and knowledgeable fight fan and Saenchai is an absolute Legend!!! I've never in my 53 years seen a fighter dominate his contemporaries in such fashion. NEVER has a fighter so clearly been head and shoulders above all of his competition as Saenchai has. Amazing once in a lifetime talent. Wow!!!

Thing is, after the 2010s, not of the guys matched up with Saenchai were his "contemporaries", and definitely not many of the opponents featured in this video. Not to take away from his accomplishments, as he's definitely one of the all time greats, but there are fighters that are more than his match out there in the Thai stadiums.

His body probably developed while training from a super early age. He's fully adapted to it. Some people have weak hip etc. He prolly has the strongest bones etc from microfractures etc.

I just love all these little interactions between the fighters-being cheeky without totally full of themselves, the respect, and more all while in the middle of fighting at a crazy high level. It's entertaining in the best of ways and I barely know anything about the ins and outs of the sport, yet I can watch it and enjoy it unlike some other fighting. Just great

Thanks Lawrence. I've seen a few fantastic martial artists in my life. Men who could make their opponent believe in magic, but only Saenchai does this all the time, whenever he feels like it. Pound for pound there are no greater boxers in the world today, and in my opinion only one other, like Saenchai, God of Boxing. “When he’s finished playing with his food …” That’s about the most perfect description you can give to his ability to fight his opponent’s. I watched this whole video at 50% speed so I could actually see what he is doing because he is so fast. He makes it look so easy, he is on a different plane of awareness than his opponents. So impressive. He truly is a master of his craft.

I think of Saenchai as a pioneer, bridging the old and the new of Muay Thai. He has all the old school, traditional skills, along with his ability to add in stuff that’s not usually considered to be related to Muay Thai. For example the axe kick variations and the crowd pleasing cartwheel kicks. Has he ever trained with or fought kyokushin guys? Looks like he’s had some exposure to it.

I think Saenchai enjoys fighting. He is also a master of missdirection. Let us not forget that: "The art of war is based on deception" (Sun Tzu). He knows how to play with psychology well, and that is much more important than many believe. I really admire him. OSU!!!

Never even heard of him. Why wasn't he in UFC? the reason he's so good is he does what most fighters fail to do. Knees and elbows. A lot. And a lot of body shots to the ribs and liver. but on top of that is his total lack of fear in the fact that he is actually enjoying the sport, as you should be. it's not an angry fight, it's not business as usual. It's a sport. And you should have fun doing any kind of sporting activities, including fighting. And he does. And that's great, I think. It's more than the style and skill. Attitude plays a major role in a champions accomplishments.

I am truly thankful to have lived in a time where I can witness the beauty of Saenchai and Buakaw in action. Two absolute legends, not only of their sport, but of martial arts in general. I would have loved to have seen what they could do against modern MMA fighters when they were at their peak.

When we watch a fight, we see openings and see what could be done because we have a perfect overall view on our screens. It's like he can see all of those things the audience can. That's just the natural ability that every fighter wishes they had. I've never seen a jump ax kick before. Wow.
