The final day of Safari Guide of the Year had H.J. behind the wheel for an incredible and emotional Guided Game Drive Experience 🚙 while Ashley Meintjes laced up his vellies for an adventure on foot as he lead the Guided Bushwalk Experience 🥾🐾
Despite these being the last two events of the competition, the finalists' nerves were not just yet laid at ease as the night everyone had been waiting for drew ever nearer. 😬😅
While the guests and sponsors enjoyed an afternoon at leisure after another sensational breakfast, the judges spent hours deliberating on the category events, counting up the finalists' scores and deciding who would take home the Safari Guide of the Year trophy for 2024. 🤔🧮📊
The awards night had everyone dressed in their bush best, our contingent of khaki wearing wanderers donned snazzy suits and beautiful flowing dresses in honour of the incredible achievements over the past week 💃🕺 The ‪@MhondoroSafariLodgeVilla‬ team worked tirelessly throughout the day to prepare the venue for the awards and delighted us with an absolutely stunning set up for the main event. 🤩🍾🥂🍽
We are thrilled to announce that H.j. Esterhuizen from Royal Malewane in the Greater Kruger took home the title of Safari Guide of the Year 2024 while Ashley Meintjes from Lalibela Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape came second overall!🏆🥇🥈
Massive congratulations to both of you for your remarkable efforts and achievements.
