In social media, Maruti Suzuki cars are been heavily degraded for its safety mainly by TATA fans. TATA's USP (unique selling point) is safety. TATA's Nexon, Altroz secured 5 star ratings in Global NCAP, while Tiago and Tigor secured 4 stars in crash test. The 2020 crash test ranks Mahindra's XUV300 as the safest car in India, which got 5 stars in adult rating and 4 stars in child safety rating. In this video we are trying to figure out about the safety of Maruti Suzuki cars in India.

NCAP stands for New Car Assessment Program. To give a brief background, in 1978 USA became the first country to come up with a programme to provide car crashworthiness information to consumers, which eventually expanded to crash testing and reporting the results. The US-NCAP model formed the basis for similar programmes in other regions, and today there is the Australasian NCAP, Euro NCAP, Japan NCAP, ASEAN NCAP, China NCAP, Korean NCAP and Latin NCAP. Global NCAP, an independent charity registered in the UK, was formed in 2011 to enhance cooperation between the various NCAPs and primarily promote vehicle crash-testing and reporting in emerging markets. ‘Safer Cars For India’ and ‘Safer Cars For Africa’ are its key initiatives at the moment.

Every NCAP has its own protocol to crash-test and score cars, and so the results are not interchangeable. Euro NCAP, for instance, conducts full frontal, front offset, side impact and side pole tests. Global NCAP ratings, on the other hand, are based on front offset crash tests alone. A front offset crash test is designed to simulate a head-on collision between two cars. In the Global NCAP test, the car is driven at 64kph and with 40 percent overlap into a deformable barrier which is the equivalent of a crash between two cars of the same weight, both moving at 50kph.

ASEAN ncap is for the models that sold on that countries ... Indian models are not tested there .. 😐..the vehicle that was made there was sent for such and got such ratings ..( for example swift sold for euro ncap and ASEAN ncap has diffenrt models and the models sold in India is also diffenrt ..that's the issue ..) Moreover Tata is sending models to.global ncap and same model is being using and sold In our country .. Maruthi after the poor performance for their most of the cars have decided not to send it to global ncap ..itself shows the scare maruthi is having. There are a lot of vidoes in net showing even the 4 star brezza owners getting killed in road rash ..😑( real world condition 😏 stats and speed )

Technically, a car cannot ‘fail’ an NCAP test, as it can a government regulation test. Each car under the NCAP, as you may be familiar, is given a rating on a 5-star scale - the higher the star rating, the safer the car. The rating itself is based on the Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection scores resulting from the crash test. These scores are primarily derived from readings of the crash-test dummies but additional points may be awarded for the presence of certain safety features. For safety and to prevent accident, one of the most important 'feature' a car should have is its better ride and handling quality, so not only in ncap rating, but in ride and handling dept also, cars from tata, vw, mahindra are far ahead of maruti Every car has a crumple zone not just in maruti or honda, but the difference in maruti is they have cru mple zone everywhere even in their safety cell. Yourself said, all these ncap is done controlled environment, that itself neutralized your argument, if car cannot be proven its safety in a controlled environment where lot of factors favourable to that car, how we can say it will meet the safety requirements in real scenario on road?. Ask yourself will you prefer a tested ok products that make sure the standards? Will you prefer the medicine prescribed which is tested and proved in a controlled environment in a lab or the one based on your own assumptions? The ratings which you mentioned for suzuki, most of them got 0, few got 2 or 3 stars, may be breza which got 4 star is an exception, swift got 2 stars, Celerio 0, Now come to the tata and mahindra cars. They made the awareness and shows the importance of the safety, and made you people to put in a position to compare the safety ( till that so called auto enthusiastic were giving importance to features and mileage and mislead the public, but this video shows that still few not ready to change). Tell me a maruti car which can give better ride and handling quality and safety than a tata car under 7 lac. And the case of diana princess death, that Mercedes was in the speed of 105 km/h which is more than twice of the speed limit 50 km/h allowed in that tunnel, here the 2 factors, one is no car guarantee the safety in that high speed, second there is a speed limit violation here, how you can defend maruti this way,.they couldn't prove it is safe even in 64 km speed in a controlled environment. There is no point of getting worried about calling cars like maruti or datsun as 'pappadam', maruti got criticized more since they got sold more(yourself said in video Maruti has 53% market share to justify the more accidents reported with maruti, apply your own logic here, that simple). they deserve that badname as long as.they cant prove they are safe and meet safety standards. Consider the cars Celerio which got 0 rating and swift which got 2 rating, against tiiago which also have crumble zones but got 4 rating, so please stop justifying maruti by saying crumble zone theory, all cars have this. According to last year ncrb data almost 1.5 lac.people died in.road. around 4 lac seriously injured, so leave all your attachment towards a brand, when you review and recommend a car .put yourself and your family in that place, ask yourself,, is this car is safe for you and your family. Safety and ride and handling should be given high priority, think logically Please show some social commitment, this is a humble request 🙏

എന്റെ വണ്ടി ഒരു TATA BOLT ആയിരുന്നു. ഞാൻ അത് വിറ്റു. ആ വണ്ടി എന്നെ ഓരോ മുക്കിലും മുലയിലും സംരക്ഷിച്ചു. എനിക്ക് വലിയ അപകടo പറ്റിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നിട്ട് ആ വാഹനത്തിന് ഒന്നും സംഭവിച്ചില്ല. എനിക്കും. ഇപ്പൊ എനിക്ക് ഒരു TATA TIAGO ആണ്. എന്ത് പറന്നാലും Safety എന്നാ കാര്യത്തിൽ TATA മേടിക്കുന്നതാണ് നല്ലത്.

As a customer I have a maruti and tata cars, in my experience tata cars is good , but service ,not up to the market, even a sales or technical team also not that much supportive or informative, like a non profit service. I am talking about my experience ,not entire Tata Team.I don't know , where is the problem, tata CRM or dealers or inexperienced team , no idea. They are not improving.. So still so much worries , If a car have any rating and build quality etc, not getting a good service , keep it in the showcase.

Yes, you are right. All the points are correct expect ARAI...Current cars are passed by BNVSAP ( Bharat New vehicle safety assessment program) . From Oct 2019 all the cars in india meets UN ECE 94&95 standards. Safety is important but "Safety" can't be an core feature of an car. An "Car" is linked the many factors..An knowledged people can easily understand apart from some foolish fan boys we don't need care them.

With 4star safty rating. എന്തു കൊണ്ട് മാരുതിയുടെ വണ്ടി ആ റേറ്റ്ൽ വരുന്നത് ഈ ഒരു ക്വാളിറ്റിയിൽ എങ്കിലും കിട്ടുന്നില്ല? ആൾട്ടോ,ആൾട്ടോ k10, wagonR, celerio, swift, spresso, ignizഎല്ലാം ഈ റേറ്റ്ലോ അതിൽ താഴെയോ തൊട്ടു മുകളിലോ ബേസ് മോഡൽനു വരുന്നതാണ്, ഇവയുടെ ഒക്കെ സ്റ്റാർ റേറ്റിംഗ് എന്താണ്?അല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്തുകൊണ്ട് അങ്ങനെ ഒരു ടെസ്റ്റ്‌നു മാരുതി മുതിരുന്നില്ല?കാരണം അതിന്റെ ക്വാളിറ്റി അവർക്ക് തന്നെ അറിയാം.ഇവയൊക്കെ തന്നെ ആണ് മാരുതിയുടെ കൂടുതൽ വില്പന ഉള്ള വണ്ടികളും. ടാറ്റായെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചു അവരുടെ വില്പന വളരെ വലുതാണ്, അപ്പോൾ അവർക്ക് കിട്ടുന്ന ലാഭവും അതുപോലെ വലുതാണ്,മാരുതി എന്ന ബ്രാൻഡ് നെയിം തന്നെ ആണ് അതിന് കാരണം, അപ്പോൾ കുറച്ചൂടെ നല്ല പ്രോഡക്റ്റ് നൽകാൻ അവർ ബാധ്യസ്ഥർ ആണ്, പക്ഷെ ചെയ്യില്ല ! . പിന്നെ ഞാൻ ഒരു ടാറ്റാ ഫാൻ ആകാൻ എനിക്ക് ടാറ്റാ കാർ ഇല്ല, ഉള്ളത് മാരുതി ആണ്. പക്ഷെ VFM ആയി എനിക്ക് തോന്നുന്നത് ടാറ്റാ തന്നെ ആണ്. പിന്നെ പപ്പടം,why maruthi? അതല്ലേ വിഷയം? Why not maruthi? എന്ന് കൂടി നിങ്ങൾ പറയു. (4-8 lak റേഞ്ച്ൽ, അതിന് മുകളിൽ വമ്പൻമാർ ഒത്തിരി ഉണ്ട്, ഇതാണല്ലേ നമ്മൾ സാധാരണക്കാരന്റെ ഒരു ബഡ്ജറ്റ് ).

I Have Tata & Maruthi My Old vehicle maruthi - this is expensive service ( they have some commission base jobs ) service not trustworthy & no build quality off road condition very pathetic My new tigor - i feel more comfortable & happiness Low maintenance compare to my ritz Ones Tata improve their service it will be more appreciate Tata have Body weight high. That’s why milage wise little less even though I got Tata tigor 18 Ritz I feel same milage and low body weight feel pappd
