I think presenting both achievements and failures in government would actually be an unbiased news for which we can pay you people pennies. As a teacher and as a mother of two teenagers I am deeply disturbed by the way the BJP government handles education and women and child welfare. No country can prosper when education is made equal to religion. No country will progress by trying to erase and change history. Education must provide tools for future development and growth not drag children in reverse direction.

Extremely agreed. Just close all madrasas and missionary schools. Regarding women welfare schemes like Ujjawala yojana, Ghar awas Yojana and law and order improvement in states like UP shows how concerned govt is concerned about women and it rellay cares.

Great report, as a native Indian living in Europe and witnessing how poorer education and discriminatory values downgrade, hold back youth and society, it's crucial that Indian retains high quality education, objective stance and equality of opportunities for all. Industrial development at all costs, cheap deals with other countries is destroying Indian society and our wonderful environment .Thx again for your independent media that keeps me posted on news in India. The entire educational program lead by the government works for an anti democratic, communal, idealistic, divisive, discriminatory, spiritualistic and utopian political philosophy which definitely violates the concept of constitution of India. The educational pogrammes being formulated by governments in power is never secular, democratically advanced, scientifically innovative and humanitarian. The educational pogrammes being promoted by the existing governmental institutions has failed to brought technical transformations & scientifical Transformations, social-economical-democratical & cultural Transformations from villages to towns to cities. More than 70 to 80 % people are victims of unemployment, even after pursuing highest educational qualifications. The private along with the governmental institutions have looted the common people from villages to towns to cities....

With no entry for shudra to Brahaman's Gurukula, but for Christian missionaries/British rule, would any shudra have had any education and learned English and have become lawyers, doctors, engineers, scientists, and economists? If Vedas contain all the worldly knowledge, and Sanskrit is the most advanced language, why did Brahamans start learning in British schools during British rule, discarding the Gurukuls; exclusively meant for Brahamans?

Newslaundry Subscriber here. Good video but could’ve been better. On the part of saffronisation u shud have given more details and not just two instances of deletions and one of savarkar and one of including gita alone. Especially when you go with that as your headline. If it’s ur heading then surely there must be more instances. Next when you talk about educational outcomes being poor you should have compared with the previous at least ten years of UPA 1&2. Interestingly you did that for some data. I would’ve preferred you did it for all. You should be more responsible and try to be as neutral as possible. Cheers.
