This week my motorcycle and I finally arrived in Europe after a disastrous start to the trip. We arrived in Amsterdam at 9am ready to begin my moto touring journey

Chin up Staffy, you'll be fine. By the way, loosing where you hid your bike is all part of boat travel and part of the experience, trust me 🤣👍. If they still operate, check out them YMCA's. We met some really great fellow travellers when it was just too went to camp in a field. Good place to get things dry as well. And as always, safe riding kido, we're with you in what you are doing.

Couple of suggestions for ferry trips. Always take a picture of the nearest door you enter after parking your bike. A notebook with a quick sketch makes it easier to find. Also, your spare bike key should be on a strap or chain around your neck, for the entire trip. Never in your luggage.

Love your bravery and determination on your videos. From a new rider to travelling around Europe in such a short space of time is so amazing. Your honesty and emotions show that its not all plain sailing riding a motorbike. Keep it up

Sunsets only take seconds at sea Saffy. Amazing upgrade and ship board adventure to start you European adventure. Your joy, excitement and plow ahead focus is very real and enjoyable. Hope you had a good weekend where ever you are. I miss being at sea, much better than home port for sure.

Saffy 3 things I can say. To & from Ireland you were late for ferry's so I didn't expect anything less lol. As for your bad hair day? You ride a bike so like all of us it's part of the package. Speaking of which, we see far deeper into the soul & spirit than the package. You're always beautiful because you're you. If I could only get that across to my cat because his so flipping needy tonight lol. The 3rd thing is, more power to you and congratulations on this new adventure & endeavour. I've done the DFDS Ferry to Amsterdam and it was very comfortable. I'm glad they looked after you so well. Now I live near Paris so don't get to use them very often

Loved this video, I'm looking forward to your adventures and I'll try and spare a few quid to the great cause... Well done so far. My only dislike in the video was the leaving of the ferry and the camera angles made me experience motion sickness lmao, all in all though welll done saffy 🤘😎

Saffy, one of the great things about motorbikes, if you develop the confidence & it is legal in the U.K. which I am fairly sure it is. Something that gives you an advantage over all other types of traffic, is the ability to filter through traffic. It has saved me from being late to many appointments (filter is to pass between stationary or very slow moving vehicles at a safe speed) . However you need to be confident to do so, & VERY aware of your surroundings. If you are not confident following an experienced rider you trust can get you there. Luv ya work, keep it up :-)

Trust me, the cattle class cabins are nothing like one that you got. I've done the cross channel ferries and Eurotunnel more times than I can count on a bike and in a car. I usually forego a cabin and try and find a quiet recliner. The bonus was when a rather attractive girl was a few feet away, and stripped off in the morning to get changed. I was the only one awake. :)

Riding in Europe is great once you get used to wrong side of the road, oh and roundabouts. They seem more biker friendly. Enjoy this fantastic adventure you are on and keep safe.

Funny you should say that. I went to the states on a fly drive. The first trip after leaving the airport was a 300 mile trip. By time I got to the end, driving on the right just came naturally.

Be careful when exiting petrol stations, brain goes on automatic and it easy to end up on the wrong side of the road. Have fun (which Amsterdam would have been perfect for) and enjoy 😉
