The HBO drama series Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin, exploring a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. Created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, both of whom are executive producing and writing, with Nolan directing, the series is based on the 1973 film Westworld, written by Michael Crichton. Executive producers, J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub, Bryan Burk. Westworld airs Sunday nights at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
The series stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal, Ben Barnes, Simon Quarterman, Angela Sarafyan, Luke Hemsworth and Clifton Collins, Jr.
Evan Rachel Wood portrays Dolores Abernathy, a provincial, beautiful and kind rancher’s daughter, who discovers that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie.

This is by far one of my favorite conversations. I've never had such a spiritual connection with an artist before. Her brilliance shines.

Westworld is one of the greatest shows of all time. One of the variables that makes this show so compelling, aside from the perfect casting such as the phenomenal Evan Rachel Wood who was seemingly born for this role, is that each character profoundly relates to the over arching theme which is, in my humble opinion, finding ones true purpose and a sense self discovery through manifest destiny. Each character is forced to make more and more choices that inevitably grow more and more difficult, yet each creditable, leading them to their own truth. This mirrors day to day life in many ways. Westworld is not popular because it has nudity, violence, and debauchery, all of which can be found in many modern shows. It is growingly popular because one can easily see how much thought and meticulous planning went into it and how much the audience was kept in mind. Can we be who we choose to be? Does control stop and start with a choice, or are there more grander forces at work? All this and more in store for us in Westworld! Thanks to everyone at HBO and to the entire Westworld family. Every episode is a lesson in acting, filming, and great story telling. My hopes for the shows continued success.

I recently saw that show , yes she was incredible in it. She was toe to toe with Kate Winslet in her best performance that saying a lot

I hadn't watched Westworld before, as I don't own a TV, but came across it on KZfaq..... Bought the first season , watched the first episode and was HOOKED.... I now have seen all three seasons on KZfaq and absolutely looking forward to more seasons. ❤ 🎥 As far as the Delores character, at first it went from a peaceful joy seeing her daily loop to feeling so sorry and scared for her due to the physical , mental and emotional hardships she was experiencing at the hands of others. Then....she brought a sense of cautionary fear due to her awakening and plans for redemption ..... Gotta admit, the humans in Westworld have it coming to them. OUTSTANDING character portrayal of Delores. 🏆 🎥

Does anybody know what that first film is, mentioned in the introduction?

The film moderator mentions is also called Westworld from 1973. It is written and directed by Michael Crichton the author of Jurassic Park. It predates the Jurassic Park film by 20 years but has a similar premise.
