Maybe don't fertilize in the winter, because that's when most plants stop their growing months. Make sure you are not covering the bottom part of the trunk with mulch, also, check that you don't have a pest hiding in the trunk's texture. I had those "rolly-polly" bugs and had no idea. You can buy a spray for fungal disease. If yo see my other Sago videos, I clipped the leaves at the end of Winter, starting Spring, when the plant is waking up and grows more leaves. I have one in my yard, it's leaning and has white stuff on it I wad thinking of cutting it but I'm not youvjave any advice
