How strong or weak should my grip be? The answer is - however your body wants to grip it! Stop fighting your body's natural inclinations to grip the club the way it wants to. Simply put, everyone's hands hang down at their sides in different angles. This grip tip offers you a new perspective into how you can have a more natural swing - one that works WITH YOUR BODY instead of fighting it.
Square the clubface more easily with a grip that works with your body!

Been playing for a year and a half and changed my grip according to your instruction. Last week I was set to quit golf but now 80% of my shots are dead straight. I can't believe it. I just have to learn to hit the driver again as I'm hitting it along the ground. Thanks for this miracle.

Thank you Tom. Finally someone who knows something other than the cookie cutter one grip fits all. I have seen a few others with this explanation, but not very many. Great job!

This is so simple but blew my mind, have struggled with figuring this out and he breaks it down in a way that seems so obvious. Thanks Tom!

Oh man, I just switched to a strong grip because of you. When I stand up relaxed my thumb is pointed directly at my side and I can see all my knuckles. Thanks for this. So much more comfortable not fighting my own body.

Hi Tom, I like the way Adam Scott grips his club. He lets his arms hang naturally by his side, then grips the club from there before moving the arm/club unit into his address position. Same grip every time.

For all my golfing life I have strived to have a grip that's in a book or video that belongs to someone else. Finally I have my grip! Thanks for this instruction that should be taught by all the so called "experts". My ball flight is much straighter, no longer fighting the lefts

Tom, I love your videos . I stopped playing golf about 30 years ago, now I'm inspired to get out and start up again, in fact I can't wait. I really think I can take your instructions and become a far better golfer. Thank you.

Spot on Tom. I once took a lesson from the legendary golf coach Jim Flick, who taught many of the best, including Jack Nicklaus. Mr. Flick taught exactly the same approach to a natural grip based on how your arms hang. Love your videos Tom. I only recently discovered your channel. Informative and great sense of humor. Fun to watch and learn. Dave Willis

This is the style of teaching I require, because like Tom, every thought it my head has to be either common sense or logical or it don't work!!

I have seen very few instructors talk about the natural hang of your arms. I found that out almost by accident when I started playing golf. I simply bent over and took my lead arm grip keeping my hand in the same position. It makes my grip weak looking but it is very comfortable and I hit it very straight from the beginning. I do tend to get my right hand a bit too on the top so I am taking your tip to keep the thumb folds parallel. Great video.

This has saved my game and hands. Clubface is dead square and has helped the flip I have had for years trying to square the clubface with my hands. Thank you and be safe.
