This is stunning I need to write this as a fic like now

this reminds me of the one time my dad, sister and I all went to the silver diner (this happened when I was like 8 and my sister was around 11) and they have little jukeboxes at every table where you can queue up a song for free. my sister and I were dumb little kids so we didn't recognize the songs from the mid '70s that were on there. one that we did know, however, was that one song that goes like "in the jungle, the lion sleeps tonight". and so we queued it up and it didn't play, so we queued it up again. and again. and again. this went on for a solid 5 minutes, so with two kids going at it at once, we got the song lined up many, MANY times. And we waited for about 30 mins. it never played. so we left, knee deep in our sorrow. but then in a joyous realization, we remembered that the people still inside the silver diner were going to have the absolute TIME👏OF👏THEIR👏LIFE👏 listening to that song (I'm blanking on the name srry) for probably like 10 mins. god bless the people that had to sit through that. thank you for coming to my ted talk.
