This wireless, solar-powered masthead anemometer works with lots of navigation and charting apps. Check out the web site to see how it works - and get a discount while supporting our sponsor. There will be a video available soon demonstrating the many functions it performs aboard Taranto :-)

Spectacular scenery, monster crayfish, and traffic jams at sea in the most unlikely places. What an adventure! Superbly filmed and wonderful narration. Bravo.

I love your video. We were in the same area later that same year. We sailed from Doubtful Sound and spent our first night at anchor in Wetjacket Arm. I now have two beautiful photos on my wall that I took that first morning. We then sailed into Dusky Sound and the areas you were in.

Great footage. Is your yacht grp or wooden also? Im looking at a lotus 10.6, all grp and wondering if its up for the job of something like this, cheers

Taranto is all grp, there are many wooden ones about as well. I think they are suitable, but I'm a little biased ;-) the bigger ones even more so. Alan Wright the designer made fabulous boats.

Hi Gerrit, sadly no, currently in northern Italy. But if you are in the area I can recommend Mapua Wharf and the small photographic museum there run by the Mapua Boat Club :-)

No, im sure you're not. Apologies if it caused distress. Humans have cooked them in this way for thousands of years because they contain bacteria that multipies rapidly when dead and may produce toxins not totally eliminated by the cooking process. So if anyone choses to eat them at all, it's unfortunately the prefered method.
