great video but i do agree with others. that party music does not belong in a chill sailing video. it just spoils the effect.

Looks like a fun way to travel and more freedom than sitting in immigration lines at the airport.

that dock looks like it once was an old fishing boat
@venomguysydney8 жыл бұрын
+carolina cruisers : yes the dock in Vietnam (HCM River) was a few old fishing boats tied together, lol

i like the thought/process of re-purposing. just makes sense.

were you able to sail freely around Vietnam? Or do you have to have the official personal on board all the time in order to travel around Vietnam water?
@venomguysydney7 жыл бұрын
Hi Ricky, Vietnam still requires you to have an official onboard when sailing witin Vietnam waters.
@inouelenhatduy6 жыл бұрын

sadly , most of the china sea is polluted so water does not start to clean up until near Malaysia, can say the same for the music.

You flew 2 flags going to Singapore and then Cook Islands. Why go overklig Singapore? Its the wrong direction. Nice boat. I like the galley.
@venomguysydney8 жыл бұрын
Hi, this is the maritime requirements for when you sail internationally, Cook Islands is where our boat is registered, Singapore Flag was the Country that we were visiting.
@sm6wet8 жыл бұрын
Hi, Interesting to see as I have myself thought about registering in Cook Islands as well only the regulations I found seemed quite expensive and I was not sure if the company who administered was a hoax or not. What company did you use? I always understood the flag etiguette of that the main flag (of the country of the vessel) should be on stern pole and where you flagged on starboard was the honour flag, that is, the country where you are visiting. Also I understodd somewhere that if flying 2 flags over eachother on starboard means that the vessel is captured and the lower flag is from which country it is captured from.

The cook island registration office is based in Singapore, its around USD 1,100 pa, but depends on the size of your boat, The flag etiquette comes in many forms but is not taken much seriously in these waters, you could fly a hanky as a flag(most boats in Indonesia don't fly any flags) and I doubt if anyone would care. However the international rule we use mainly is that the country you are visiting flown higher than country of registration. For the registration in Singapore (Cook Islands) contact OSPL in 315 Outram Road in Singapore

Pirates didn't concern you?
@venomguysydney6 жыл бұрын
Only Pirates in Asia are the Singapore and Malaysian Governments , but they do it legally. But seriously, as long as you steer clear of lower Philipinnes not too much issues with unwelcome guests

Whats the boat worth?
@alvincay1008 жыл бұрын
+Brent Smith at least $200,000 I would bet
@brentjs19798 жыл бұрын
+Calvin Smith I would think around 500k
@venomguysydney8 жыл бұрын
+Brent Smith : Hi Brent , The boat was built in Vietnam, starting price is around 300k, but you need to add extras to sail safely offshore like safety gear, dingy, life raft etc
@brentjs19798 жыл бұрын
+venomguysydney awesome boat mate all the options you have and simplicity of set up are spot on. Are you living aboard or is it just for extended asian trips?
@venomguysydney8 жыл бұрын
Hi Brent, the boat is setup that you could live full time onboard but I still have to work so at the moment we are just using the boat on the weekends or on extended holiday breaks during the upcoming dive season here in Asia, Malaysia and Indonesia (South China Sea)
