Sew it yourself! Duffle bags are versatile and incredibly useful. This round duffle bag is large enough to fit multiple sets of clothing and toiletries for a short trip, weekend cruise and more. It’s great as a gym bag too! This kit comes with Cordura Classic 1000D fabric, a heavy-duty, high-tenacity bag fabric designed for the most demanding outdoor environments.

Love your new bag kits. I'd love to see a kit for a back pack style dry bag made from ShelterRite or something similar.

As a seamstress with 6 decades' worth of experience, I would like to offer some minor suggestions to the instructions. 1. Put a notch at the centers of the long edge, and corresponding notches on the round end and pocket pieces. 2.Put the zipper back together before starting to assemble the ends to the barrel. 3. Clip the seam allowances of the barrel not to exceed 3/8". Sew a second line of stitching 1/4" away from the first. 4. Start the basting and stapling by centering the closed zipper on the D-ring tab, and matching the notches at the center of the barrel and botton of the end pieces. I am impressed with the thoroughness of your instructions, and with the Sailrite LSZ-1 herself. She takes some getting used to, but once familiarized, she and I got along tolerably well. I emphatically do NOT regret the purchase.

I use my Sailrite swing-away binder to cover the interior seams for a cleaner interior of the bag.

This is a great kit! The kit I received had enough fabric left-over to make a small stuff-sack. Add a cinch-cord and a cord-keeper and you have a storage bag / dirty-bag for travel. @sailrite you should include this as an option on the pattern and possibly include a foot of cordage!

Hi Andrea, This is a plotted kit, it is ordered with the cut size for the circles on the fabric.

I am struggling sewing the ends of the barrel without puckering the fabric. I stapled thoroughly and cut slits, but still end up with puckers. Otherwise fun and easy kit!

Sewing circles is not easy since the fabric is forced to take the round shape and it does not want to do that. So... small puckers in the fabric are not uncommon. I would not worry about it, sounds like you are doing everything appropriately.

What basting tape is being used in the video? I don't see it listed in the materials and would like to order with the kit!

Hi Michael, The basting tape is included in the kit. We use 1/4" basting tape for this kit.
