I am not Palestinian. But every word and shot of this song and music video was painfully beautiful. I am from Cyprus but born and raised in the UK, my family and country have experienced colonisation and war. I felt every word of this song. @@idunnodouno9967 i think it’s because not all scholars agreed that music is haram. Because at the old times (time of our prophet) music wasn’t just about singing, it was more like going to places where women danced and were singing to seduce men. So music then was accompanied by alcohol consumption and forbidden acts (women dancing infront of men and getting sexualized) so it got forbidden. Most Scholars like al-Qaradawi permits music THAT DOESNT encourage forbidden things. But at the same time other scholars like Hanafi states that music is haram except def (tambourine) and drums that aren’t haram (they were used in wars and weddings at the old times). The other two madhabs Maliki and Shafii regarded music as makruh but can be permissible for anyone that gets no feelings other than enjoying a beautiful voice as long as it has no inappropriate lyrics (passionate/sexually suggestive/ encouraging violence, drinking, zina...).
