Mac Tonight is a fictional character used in the marketing for McDonald's restaurants during the mid-1980s. Known for his crescent moon head, sunglasses and piano-playing, the character used the song "Mack the Knife" which was made famous in the United States by Bobby Darin. Throughout the campaign, Mac was performed by actor Doug Jones.

I like this shot of 1:21 - 1:23. It's like Mac is saying "sit back and relax. Enjoy yourself" while the night is soft all around you. Makes me feel comfortable, dunno about anybody else (to me that's one of my actual working definitions of "aesthetic" in my brain, that clip)

Another thing, can we take a moment of appreciation for the amount of costuming, environmental design, tone, cinematic choice and direction, and basically overall imagination that went in to just create this commercial? They had to create this from NOTHING. Only using their brains. Like I would never think of a singing moon man riding a roller coaster against a city night backdrop.

This song and music video give vibes I could never explain. That's why I'm a true Vaporwave fan. WE NEED AN EXTENDED VERSION Like, imagine just seeing this with no context randomly playing, you can't go anywhere.
