The cello just sang with such colors and fragility/sensitivity, intoxicating..... Sheku is one of the best cellists in his generation!

I am in tears right now. This is one of my favorite pieces. If possible, my Mom loved it even more. She really loved the Kanneh-Masons as well. I lost her this spring. I know she’s smiling. Thank you for this magical moment!

This guy has time beyond his years. Being so relaxed, leaving notes hanging around just this little bit longer, this little bit later, gorgious. The piece is easy to play, but not easy to make it the right balance between sterile and hokum. For my taste, he nails it.

listen to the yoyo ma one, im not saying this isn't great, but it is not even comparable to Yo yo ma's Swan. I honestly believe Yo yo ma has played the swan perfectly

@@yubinizer I love Yo Yo Ma, and he is an exceptional artist, but, having acknowledged that, I have to say that this rendition has a lighter and more delicate touch and feel that makes this different, not inferior. One can appreciate lilacs as well as roses.

@@donna30044 True! Sorry, Its just that personally, Yoyoma's swan is just uncomparable to this and captures an essence that i haven't seen replicated. But I totally do understand that this interpretation was also very impressive and interesting :)

Unspeakably divine ... This whole extraordinary project, with Michael Morpurgo in the mix as well (visibly moved by his inclusion with the Kanneh-Masons), is going to be a game-changer.

I have been trying for so long to find a version of the swan I liked, and I think I found it. Every other version I've heard has either been too rushed, or has no passion. This is perfect.

There's others actually played slower yet, as u say others also lack passion. This has everything a truly beautiful piece of music should have.

@@pixelwoody6493 it's hard to explain. The notes resonate more in your soul. I guess when someone plays it without passion, they play it like a robot. They play it exactly as the sheet music says. Nothing more, nothing less. They don't add their own flavor to the piece. When you play with passion, you can instantly tell by the way their notes resonate.

I live in New York. Just received my Kanneh-Mason's album, Carnival of the Animals, all the way from the United Kingdom. Opening it now. I can now listen to the Kanneh-Mason classical at any time! My favorite piece remains to be "The Redemption Song". I find myself humming the beautiful melody. Hoping they will be in concert in New York City!

The perfect pitch, tempo, attack, subtle modulation of the volume, vibrato and bow control is absolutely amazing! I have never heard better. Other musicians' technical virtuosity takes a distant second place to the emotional beauty he expresses in this performance. 👋👋👋

The whole family are just superb. Love them and their musical talent shines through, to have 1 family so super talented is a beautiful gift to the world. I love their casual way around classical music, demystifying the whole genre and making it accessible. They are the oxygen for a dying genre of music!

Out of all of the Carnival of the Animal pieces, the swan has to be my favourite. It really represents the swan. And you guys all play it wonderfully. And I'm not lying, this was so beautiful that I feel like crying when I listen to it. And that's not a bad thing! Amazing!
