@@knkn5049 Thing is. Its not just "Only His" conclusion. The whole "Argue against the Quran teaching the Trinity" began only when the Muslims learned that Christians were not actually practicing what the Quran accused them of. And therefore since it would effect how much money Sheikh's would make by their followers. They needed to change the interpretation of the accusation. So the false accusation turned into the false false accusation. Murad here isn't the only one gaining this conclusion. Although by God's grace he is helping unpeel the layer of extra Muslim Interpretation. Which is obviously there just look for some ()'s.

I found the argument in the article penned by Zaborski very pertinent to the topic at hand. Zaborski says that the Muslim argument that the Koran cannot be translated is a fallacy because only incomprehensible texts cannot be translated. By definition a translation in any language is imperfect and an interpretation. So why do we need translations? We need them not only for people who do not know the language of the original but also as a test and proof of how specialists have understood the original. According to Zaborski, it follows therefore that the alleged "holy untranslatables", must be translated. Mel, I do not know if you or YT deleted my previous version of this comment. I assumed it was YT because we know how YT works. If however it was deleted by you, let me know so that I will not repost in another way. The cited article is called REMARKS ON THE MALTESE TRANSLATIONS OF THE KORAN. PS as always, great work Murad!

The Dawahgandists in Hyde Park often quote some of these verses - e.g. the 3-9 years one. Interesting. The one about the 'Holy Spirit' being changed to 'Pure Spirit' is pretty damning as it's obvious they wouldn't want to give anyone the impression that they accepted the idea of the Trinity in Christianity as it would add yet more evidence that the ideology is just completely incoherent.

Guys what if the muslim translators have in mind all the hadith about what has been already done to the quran. Aisha's goat ate two ayas. Muhammad was forgeting quran. Abu Bakr lost portion of quran in battle. Fights about variants. Lost portions of quran. Sahaba inserting fairytales into recitations and so on. Almost I forgot about Uthman's bonfire standardization. Think about the mindset of a translator that approaches the work. If this all has been done to quran a slight mistranslation is nothing to all what has been done already to the quran.

While Murad is making a formal equivalence translation, it seems like Sahih is a dynamic equivalence translation. Those are two popular approaches to Bible translation. It does contain some interpretation and probably mistakes. Where Murad can show that its discrepancies are intentionally misleading and not just trying to convey the original meaning idiomatically in English, then that could be considered fraudulent dynamic equivalence.

8:28: the day the “criterion” descended is the day of both the revelation of the Torah to Moses (Shavuot) and the day of the Pentecost (the Holy Spirit descending on multitudes). Here, in this Quranic passage, this could refer to an event happening to “our servant” on the day of the Pentecost. The “our servant” could be either Jesus - OR the main writer of “the Quran” or the “revelation” who believes himself to be enlightened by the Holy Spirit and in the name of Christ Jesus. In this context- the “nations” or the “multitudes” are not armies - but people upon whom the Holy Spirit descended. Also, the phrase “Muhammad is among us” is parallel to the Christian phrase “Jesus is/ lives among us” or possibly “within us”.

Hi guys! Mel did you consider to make a session with Murad that would focus on quran as a text? Murad put so much effort into the translation. He commands the text backward and forward. Also Murad's approach is unique and in the end this may have given Murad an unique insight about the origin of the text. Murad may propose new hypothesis about who were and when wrote the quran. And those are just the basic question. Maybe he found a new question even a benign question and an answer to it that will undermine the SIH/SIN.

My post, Jahiliyyah The word Jahiliyyah occurs some four times in quran. S 3:154 Then he sent down upon you after the grief security--drowsiness covering a band of you and a band whose souls distressed them, thinking of Allah other than the truth. The thought of the Jahiliyyah, saying: Do we have anything from the affair? Say: The affair, all of it, is Lah’s. They hide in themselves what they do not reveal to you. They say: If we had something from the affair we would not have been killed here. Say: Had you been in your houses those whom killing was written upon would have gone out to their beds. And that Allah might test what is in your chests and that he might purge what is in your hearts. And Allah is learned in that in the chests. S 5:50 So is it the judgment of the Jahiliyyah they seek? And who is better than Allah in judgment for people who are certain? S 33:33 And stay in your houses and do not dress up as the dressing up of the first jahiliyyah. And perform salat and give the zakat and obey Allah and his messenger. Allah only wants to remove rijs from you, household, and to purify you with purification. Allah the Filthy Monkey The first Jahiliyyah? S 48:26 When he had put zeal in the hearts of those who had disbelieved, the zeal of the Jahiliyyah. Then Allah sent down his shekhinah upon his messenger and upon the believers and compelled them to the word of taqwa and they had more right to it and were more deserving of it. And Allah was learned in everything. The Shekhinah in the Quran Definitions: Relative noun (nisba) composed of جَاهِل (jāhil, “ignorant”) +‎ ـِيَّة (-iyya). My post, Some Thoughts on Al-Jannah Jannah is a word derived from Hebrew meaning ‘garden’. In Islam Adam was created in Al-Jannah, which rivers run beneath, for some reason, located above us in one of the seven skies. It would appear that the word was used in the sense of ‘garden’ in Arabic although there is a native word hadiqah. Muslims believe that Adam was created there but they also believe that there are those who end up in the Jannah. In Jewish thinking, Gan Eden (Garden of Eden) is that part of Sheol (the Underworld) reserved for the righteous dead, and which is down, not up. In Hebrew translations of the New Testament we find in Luke 23:43 אמן אמר אני לך כי היום תהיה עמדי בגן עדן׃ “Amen I say to you, today you will be with me in Gan Eden.” The Quran speaks of Al-Jannah THE Jannah, but the plural is used in a number of places, and it also speaks of TWO jannahs. It also speaks of Jannat ‘Adn, the Gardens of Eden, in the plural, as in S 18:31.

26:50 the word “rab” or master is interesting- because in Christianity it refers to Jesus (rav, “ravi” or “rabi” master, my master. Now this is important because in the Quran, in the description of the martyrs - when the martyr dies (for the sake of Allah and his messenger) - the martyr sits in the Paradise, to the side of HIS LORD. “The Lord” is Allah, and also is Jesus. Allah and Jesus are a combo : as in the phrase “Allah and his messenger” and sometimes it seems they can not be distinguished. DESPITE the proclamations of shirk. Who is the lord next to whom the martyrs sit? Jesus of course. Again - the Christians believed themselves to sit next to Jesus when they are martyred. Unless we are familiar with Christianity - we can not read and understand the Quran. Early Islam is clearly a form of Christianity, and the person who authored the Quran believes himself to be under the inspiration of Jesus

My post, Some Notes On the Seven Sleepers S 18:11 So we struck over their ears in the cave a number of years. Why couldn't 'Allah' give the number? S 18:18 And you think them awake while they are asleep. And we turn them to the right and to the left and their dog stretching his arms at the threshold. Had you looked at them you would have turned away from them in flight and been filled with terror because of them. Does a dog have arms? 'Their dog' is probably a result of a misreading of an unpointed text, which had something like kaliuhum 'their protector' rather than kalbuhum 'their dog'. The 'protector' would likely have been an angel with his arms outstretched. Now, had there been an angel standing there then this would more likely fill people with terror, rather than a few boys. S 18:22 They will say: Three, the fourth of them their dog; and they say: Five, the sixth of them their dog. A conjecture about the ghayb. And they say: Seven, and the eighth of them their dog. Say: My lord knows their ‘iddah. None knows them but a few. So do not argue about them except with a clear argument. And do not enquire about them from anyone among them. Why is the author counting the dog? The author goes on to say: "Five, the sixth of them their dog.", when he should have said: 'Four, the fifth of them their dog.' and he continues in that vein. As this is evidently a known story, why doesn't 'Allah' give the correct number? What's the big open secret? And is the author trying to dissuade his audience from enquiring into the accepted number? Not an allergic reaction... I just get very nauseous... 9:15 : separation / furqan. Acts 2:3, the Holy Spirit divides or separates itself and descends on the Apostle. Thus - the “separation” is connected with the ability to prophesy. The “day of separation” is when the Holy Spirit separates itself from God and descends on the apostles. It is reminiscent of the day the Torah separated itself from the divine wisdom of God and descended on Moses. For the writers of the Quran - “furqan” is the day the writer of the Quran believed himself to be blessed with the revelation as well.

My post, Sarh This word occurs in three verses. S 27:44 It was said to her: Enter the sarh. Then when she saw it she thought it a depth and uncovered her legs. He said: It is a sarh, polished, of crystal. She said: Lord, I have wronged myself and I have surrendered with Sulayman to Lah, lord of the ‘alamin. This is derived from a story, a version of which may be found in Legends of the Jews. Benaiah conducted the queen to Solomon, who had gone to sit in a house of glass to receive her. The queen was deceived by an illusion. She thought the king was sitting in water, and as she stepped across to him she raised her garment to keep it dry. On her bared feet the king noticed hair, and he said to her: "Thy beauty is the beauty of a woman, but thy hair is masculine; hair is an ornament to a man, but it disfigures a woman." Volume IV Chapter V Legends of the Jews index S 28:38 And Fir’awn said: Chiefs, I have not known for you any god other than me. So kindle for me, Haman, on the clay and make me a sarh; perhaps I shall look at Musa’s god. And I think him of the liars. As he might have simply used an existing building in order to chat to Allah, it would appear that this was a taller than usual structure and one might assume that the Tower of Babel is in the back of the author's mind. S 5:117 I did not tell them except what you commanded me: Worship Allah, my lord and your lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them and when you caused me to die you were the watchman over them and you are a witness over everything. The verb used is توفى tawaffa, a Form V verb. توفى - Wiktionary The reader may compare various occurrences of the verb in the Quran here: The Quranic Arabic Corpus - Quran Dictionary A hadith: Narrted Ibn `Abbas: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "You will be resurrected (and assembled) bare-footed, naked and uncircumcised." The Prophet (ﷺ) then recited the Divine Verse:-- "As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it: A promise We have undertaken. Truly we shall do it." (21.104) He added, "The first to be dressed will be Abraham. Then some of my companions will take to the right and to the left. I will say: 'My companions! 'It will be said, 'They had been renegades since you left them.' I will then say what the Pious Slave Jesus, the son of Mary said: 'And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them; when You did take me up {tawaffaytani}, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if you forgive them, You, only You are the All-Mighty the All-Wise.' " (5.117-118) Narrated Quaggas, "Those were the apostates who renegade from Islam during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr who fought them". [bukhari/60/117] Just as Isa died, the founder of Islam too died. Was the latter ‘taken up’? No, he is in his grave. In Al-Tabari's tafsir for S 3:55 we read: عن ابن عبـاس، قوله: { إِنّي مُتَوَفِّيكَ } يقول: إنـي مـميتك. S 63:4, my translation: "And when you have seen them their bodies please you and if they say you listen to their speech as though they were piled up wood. They think every shout is against them. They are the enemy so watch out for them. *Allah fight them!* How are they deluded?" The same phrase is found in S 9:30. My post, A Very Short Note on Allah's Invocation S 9:30 And the Jews said: Uzayr is the son of Allah and the Nasara said: The Messiah is the son of Allah. That is their speech with their mouths. They imitate the speech of those who disbelieved before. Allah fight them! How deluded they are! If this is Allah speaking, does Allah want Allah to fight them? Might Allah be coming with a sword and fighting them on the battlefield? Further reading: Response to Islamic Awareness: Was 'Uzayr (Ezra) Called The Son Of God? Did Allah Come?

I got a free quran from a group of Muslims in New Zealand who send them to anyone who requests one online. It's much more honestly translated than the one you're going through, but it also has plenty of interpolations (although they're almost all in brackets to indicate they're not in the original). Overall though, I was relatively impressed with how accurate it is... especially for a free quran they just send to anyone.

Fantastic saint Murad, this just proves how the Quran was only for the Arabs of that time period living in the land of Arabic, it was not meant to go beyond the land of the Arabic tongue, hence this: We (who ever we are) sent you oh Muhammad the Quran so you / your people (Arabic people) may understand my words. 42:7 Yusuf Ali: Thus have We sent by inspiration to thee an Arabic Qur'an: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her,- and warn (them) of the Day. So the riddle continues: Which is the mother of cities and those all around her? It cant be for the whole world as it states Arabic only speaking and readers who understand Arabic, hence a Muslim will always say can you read Arabic; if you cannot and do not surround this mother city then you're not one of Muhammad chosen people. Can't be Mecca as nothing surrounds her, the only City that makes since is Jericho as it one of the oldest cities in the world who's ancestor of Hebrew, Arabic, and ancient Egyptian. The site of ancient Jericho, known today as Tell es-Sultan, (Arabic: تل السلطان, lit. Sultan's Hill) Love you brother Mel, GBY.

My post, Some Thoughts on Salla ‘Ala (‘Pray Upon’) What might the Arabic صلى على ‘pray upon’ have signified at the time of composition of the Quran? In S 33:43 we read: He is the one who prays for you and his angels to bring you out of the darknesses into the light and he was merciful to the believers. In S 33:56 we read: Allah and his angels pray for the prophet. Those who have believed, pray for him and salute him. Did the author want the reader to understand that Allah would be standing on its boss? I suspect that a Syriac idiom, tzali ‘al, lies behind this expression. This can mean, according to my understanding, ‘pray for’ or ‘pray over’ In the Peshitta we read (Hebrews 13:18): ܨܠܘ ܥܠܝܢ ܬܟܝܠܝܢܢ ܓܝܪ ܕܬܐܪܬܐ ܛܒܬܐ ܐܝܬ ܠܢ ܕܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܨܒܝܢܢ ܕܫܦܝܪ ܢܬܕܒܪ ܀ tzalaw ‘alayn, pray for us. And in James 5:14 ܘܐܢ ܟܪܝܗ ܢܩܪܐ ܠܩܫܝܫܐ ܕܥܕܬܐ ܘܢܨܠܘܢ ܥܠܘܗܝ ܘܢܡܫܚܘܢܗ ܡܫܚܐ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܀ wa-ntzalon ‘alaw, and they will pray over him. Peshitta New Testament So I understand that the author of the Quran meant ‘pray for’.

11:05 the 50th day after the Passover when Shavuot/ Pentecost happens - the Moon is still new. It still has not reached its fullest. Is that badr moon????? Also - if the early Islam followed the fixed Jewish calendar - the “night of separation” would coincide with the early moon each year - because it would follow Pescha / Easter. But because the calendar was changed - we have Ramadan moving each year, the seasons are NOT FIXED - and the connection between badr and moon season is LOST TO MUSLIMS

14:22 given we know the importance of furqan/ the separation - the “first ignorance” would be the time before the Torah was revealed. The Torah is the first “furqan” as in that separates the age of pagan worship from the monotheism of Moses. What follows next would be the “furqan of the Messiah” or the gospel. The revelations of the Quran writer would be the final revelation/ separation

My post, Allah's Prayer In this post I shall show the Jewish background of the notion that Allah prays. In Ibn Kathir's tafsir for S 33:56 we read: And Ibn Abi Hatim said: Ali bin Al-Hussein told us, Ahmad bin Abd Al-Rahman told us, my father told me, from his father, on the authority of Ash’ath bin Ishaq, from Jaafar - meaning: Ibn Al-Mughira - from Sa'id bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas: The Banu Isra'il said to Musa, peace be upon him: Does your lord pray? Then his lord called him: Musa, they asked you: “Does your Lord pray?” So say: Yes, I and my angels only pray for my prophets and my messengers. Earlier in the same tafsir we read: Then Ibn Abi Hatim said: Amr Al-Awdi told us, Waki' told us, from Al-Amash, from Amr bin Murrah, Al-Amash from 'Atta bin Abi Rabbah said (Allah and his angels pray for the prophet), he said: His prayer is, may he be blessed and exalted: Praise, holy, may my mercy precede my anger. The Noble Qur’an - Tafsir Ibn Kathir - Interpretation of Surat Al-Ahzab - Verse 56 Now this is derived from something in the Talmud. In Berakhot 7a we read: Along the same lines, Rabbi Yoḥanan said in the name of Rabbi Yosei: From where is it derived that the Holy One, Blessed be He, prays? As it is stated: “I will bring them to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in the house of My prayer” (Isaiah 56:7). The verse does not say the house of their prayer, but rather, “the house of My prayer”; from here we see that the Holy One, Blessed be He, prays. The Gemara asks: What does God pray? Rav Zutra bar Tovia said that Rav said: God says: May it be My will that My mercy will overcome My anger towards Israel for their transgressions, and may My mercy prevail over My other attributes through which Israel is punished, and may I conduct myself toward My children, Israel, with the attribute of mercy, and may I enter before them beyond the letter of the law. Berakhot 7a Now, the Biblical passage has har qodshi (mountain of my holiness) for 'my holy mountain', beyt tefilati (house of my prayer) for 'my house of prayer'. Older Hebrew could also have kisse khevodo (throne of his glory) for 'his glorious throne', as in the Delitzsch translations for Matthew 19:28 and 25:31. [wordproject .org/bibles/he/] The rabbi's argument based on the Hebrew Bible shows that the Talmud is the origin of the notion that Allah prays. Elsewhere we find an invocation for Allah to pray for the founder of Islam and his family, with a distinction made between praying and blessing. (Say: "O Allah, send Your Salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Salah upon the family of Ibrahim, verily You are the Most Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, verily You are Most Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.'')'' Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn Abi Layla said that Ka`b bin `Ujrah met him and said, "Shall I not give you a gift The Messenger of Allah came out to us and we said, `O Messenger of Allah! We know how to send Salam upon you, but how can we send Salah' He said: «قُولُوا: اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ، اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيد» (Say: "O Allah, send Your Salah upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Salah upon the family of Ibrahim, verily You are the Most Praiseworthy, Most Glorious. O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your blessings upon the family of Ibrahim, verily You are Most Praiseworthy, Most Glorious.'')'' This Hadith has been recorded by the Group in their books with different chains of narration. Ibn Al Kathir commentary for verse 33.56 Elsewhere we read: Abu Hurayra reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "If anyone prays once on me, Allah will pray ten times on him.'" [urn/2206300 / Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 645] 1387. Abu Umama reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Allah and His angels and the people of the heavens and the earth, even the ants in their rocks and the fish, pray for blessings on those who teach people good." [at-Tirmidhi] 1397. 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As reported the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, says, "Anyone who says a prayer on me, Allah will pray on him ten times on account of it." 1:12:10 surah 72:3 shows allah has grandfather, and Rob Christian has shown us sahih hadith that allah is a prepubescent young boy. My theory is that the grandfather is Allah (senior), the father is Allah (junior), and the sock puppet of Qutham is Allah the 3rd or Allah III. Allah III being prepubescent must be very naughty (not yet mature), so when he prays and repent, it's very likely to the grandfather, Allah (senior). 😂😂😂

16:13. Ok so verses 42:51-52 speak about the process of revelation. Revelation is given either by inspiration or by the “angel messenger.” 42:52 speaks about the process of how the writer of the Quran got his revelation : “BY INSPIRATION coming from the spirit of Allah “Command”. Notice - the “command” is a spiritual form of “commander” - but “command” is a word or idea, not a human being. Like the idea of the “light of Allah” who is “Muhammad”. So the writer of the Quran got the revelation FROM Muhammad (the fighting, commanding word of God)

Sir I understand how you concentrate on the meaning of words . But some words will change meaning when something like على comes after it. For example when u said تاب should take the meaning of repentance in every place in the Quran but they is difference between تاب عليه and تاب إليه . Which means تاب عليه is more like ask for forgiveness that is why in the Quran you will see Allah is saying فتوبوا إلى الله جميعا أ يهاالمومنون since the word used their is توبوا إلى it means ask for forgiveness or repent to Allah. And for تاب عليه as in فتلقى ءادم من ربه كلمات فتاب عليه this means then Allah forgived him . And you said that the Quran don't like women ,so let use your translation of بشر which you said it should take the meaning of good tiding, in the Quran Allah said ( وإذا بشر أحد هم بلانثى ظل وجهه ) Which means: when the good tiding of female child is given to them: . If the Quran consider daughter's as good tiding from Allah why will you say that the Quran don't like daughter's. In my own understanding dictionaries only gives literal meanings to words but arrangements of words also explains a lot But I am not a native Arabic speaker and I am not a scholar in Arabic so please explain it to me

This guy is clown to me . I doubt he is an expert in 7th century Arabic because if he were he would not make this stupid error when he said Badr means time of the year Badr is another word for the moon , but what struck me is we dont have just the word Badr in the verse it comes be_Badr one complet word b is the alphabet B is attached to the word Badr so what this be means in Arabic when is attached to noums ? it means at or in . so this will sound in English as at Badr so Badr is name of place not moon or time of the year .He was explaining that word can change meaning he gave example of the word gay what it meant before and what it means today fair enough then he turned around and he said the word city is medina 😅 but thats new name 😅 because old name was the word 9arya which is mentioned in the verse and he said is settlment. He said the word emla9 is to fool 😅 i looked at it in dictionary it says poverty
