I know people who currently sit in that part of the Kingsland that will have to move and they're really not happy about it (which I can understand) however the idea of having it totally Saints stand behind the goal fills me with joy. I'm old enough to remember when they changed the Archers to all Saints and it was fantastic

I’m not sure on the safety of both sets of fans if they move the away end … where they are now has the easiest access for them and the safest route into and out of the stadium and onto a coach …. Unless the club actually spend some money and build a Railway platform right outside the doors for away FAN only trains then that might work

As a person sitting in the area they've moved the away fans too... I hate this. I'm legitimately considering not renewing my ticket. Because I've sat in my seat for the entire time I've been a Saints fan, and honestly? I want more than just "Oh, you'll get priority for already unassigned seats" as compensation for the club forcing me to move. Additionally, who on earth decided to put the Family Zone in the closest corner to the away fans? "Yes, let's just have all the kids and adults who probably don't want to be near the loud shouty zones right next to the away fans! Perfect!" Said the corporate tosspot... Realistically, if they want the Northam to be a red wall, the best place to have the away fans moved to would've been the Itchen north. Just shuffled around a little, so all the people who'll want to stand and sing will be right next to the away fans, and the family zone can remain where it currently is, as far from any potential trouble as possible.

Sorry to hear this move is forcing you out of your seat. I too thought that perhaps the away section could be moved to Itchen North, but that would be in front of the hospitality. Kingsland North and there is no safe way to escort fans away from the ground. You do bring up an excellent point, having the family section so close. Chelsea have their family section directly beside the away section, as do Watford I believe. Hope you can find something suitable and again, sorry to hear this has caused you to move.

On the whole I like it and think it’s a big improvement both in terms of fan experience and ability to generate atmosphere which will probably equate to a few more points each season. However, why are the away fans all the way up there? Why not put them in the Kingsland North in or by the corner? Banter and ferocity between home and away sections will be gone, it’s going to be harder to get the away fans out of the stadium for police and the family section is having to move. On the whole, fantastic move but the execution of where to place the away support, I think has misfired.

i don’t know if it’s true but i’ve seen people say there’s going to be a lot of renovating to st.marys and of course outside too. that fire now looks suspicious too 😂

Surely the capacity rises from 32.000? I personally think it could dilute the atmosphere. I reckon half the northam could move to the Chapel/Kingsland next to the away fans and 1/2 will try the standing. By the way Jack, IF we do not go up our Parachute money drops and our playing budget will probably be cut SO there is no guarantee we will be winning as frequently as we did this season.

The away fans want to be as far from the family section as they can maybe kingsland / northam corner , and if they move wont the hard core saints fans wanna move aswell thats the only thing , anyway still looks good

I think St Mary's having a real home end and safe standing is really positive. However, I hear lots of fans say that they've sat in the same seat for years and this is forcing them to move. Well, as a season ticket holder in the Itchen North and someone who has sat/stood next to away fans at The Dell and St Marys for nearly 40 years (because I enjoy it more, not because I bait or any other of some people's stereotypes), I feel the club is unfairly incentivising fans to the Northam. I get it but, it sounds like if I move to say block 20 in the Chapel South to be next to the away end, they want to charge me more now !

Some great points here Matt. I have also heard some stories from other clubs who have done the same and said it completely killed their atmosphere. The back and forth banter is a dynamic I’ll miss for sure, but it will be interesting to see how this all works out. Appreciate the comment 👍🏼

50/50 with the away fans being moved. It’s so much fun next to the away fans, wouldn’t be surprised to see lots of the loud Northampton fans move near to away.

If this keeps the cost affordable so people could do as I did when I was a kid. Go into town and think, F it the games on let's go, as well as season ticket holders it can only be a good thing. If they keep the price per game and season tickets high in that area, it will fail?

My seats now in the middle of the kids zone... I don't want to move! I dont want to be near the away fans, i dont want to stand, and i dont want to sit in Itchen, with the sun, rain and wind in my face!.. thats why I bought the seat I have. Im also old enough to remember the move from the Dell, and one of the main selling points of the St.Marys site was the the fact they could move the away fans in and out without them interacting with home fans. How will that work when they move. Im also old enough to remember the years of campaigning for seats! I think its a rubbish idea, short sighted and just a money grab! Theres 5 of us who all bought our tickets together and probably arent going to renew now... Bit of an own goal by Saints IMO. Imagine being in the kids zone for a family day out to the game to sit and have your kids ears bruised by chants of "the referee's a w4n£er" and all the other obsenities that get shouted!

as much as i like this club, this new stadium layout is terrible, away fans next to the family stand, could've just put it in the itchen and filled the wall with the load ones and now its just a safety risk especially if we play pompey next year the first fans they meet are the family end, and now from what i can tell, people who like to sit in the family end to get away from swears and the away fans

Pompey fans are usually escorted in by police way before the saints fans arrive anyways so theres no trouble
