Everything changed in settings. query_occlusion_fake_sample_count changed from = 1000 to -1 (fixes lights appearing through geometry) protect_zero changed from = true to false (fixes crashing in saints row 1 idk how it affects 2 as I play with the same config for both games.)

Xbox360 emulator has better performance and better lighting than PC native port! This surprised me!

Thats just the sad state of older games not being optimized with new hardware in mind. Hopefully a Good Saints Row 1 and 2 remaster comes out one day, but I doubt it since the developers aren't keen on touching the older games for whatever reason.

Nice, i thought even Xenia version the cutscene will be out of sync if fps is above 30.

guys am i dumb or does the xenia canary version of saints row simply not save? since the steam version of sr2 doesnt work at all for me (i tried all settings, mods etc...game simply crashes after tutorial misson once ur in a car to drive to johnny gat)..and THE patch will probably never come i tried out this xenia canary method and was pleaseantly surprised how well it worked ...played for some hours..no crashes...but simply never could create a manual save so i hoped the auto save will do after every mission... came to the part where u get shaundi, pierce and carlos stopped playing opened the game via xenia a day later...didnt auto save ..im back at the point right after the tutorial is there any workoround for this? i mean i can see some files are changing in the xenia/content folder but i have honestly no idea if this actually creates a classic .sav file or something else i just assumed i can make a full playtrough again that way=) edit..portable.txt file in the folder did the trick for me..ty all=)

Yeah My configuration for xenia is pretty much default only thing is that the 60 fps patch is applied.

Games Patches which can be found here github.com/xenia-canary/game-patches?tab=readme-ov-file download then put the patches folder into the xenia directory then in the patches folder you'll find 545107FC - Saints Row 2 (TU1).patch.toml and 545107FC - Saints Row 2 (TU1).patch.toml open both of these files with note pad and change name = "60 FPS" author = "illusion" is_enabled = from false to true

@inslts make a folder call it whatever you like and put all of xenia contents into that folder like the exe etc and also the patches folder.

is there any way i can use gotr on saints row 2 xenia canary?

@Jamallma00 not that I know of gotr is mainly used to fix the buggy pc port that is sr2. but I know it has alot of cool mods and quality of life features. maybe in the future there might be support but I haven't heard anything about it working on the emulator.
