The thing about Saitama is that he wants to challenge himself but he can't because everyone is too weak. Imagine how Goku or Vegeta would feel in a world like that. They would hate it because pushing themselves to grow stronger is what they live for. Even if no new threat shows up they can at least compete with each other. Saitama doesn't even have that option.

Breaking his limiter means unlimited potential, however IIRC the limiter is also what makes it harder to become stronger the more powerful you already are, hence Saitama can train with the same workout without increasing anything about it and still get absurdly strong, for example say that he did training that would increase his strength by 5kg on day one, for Saitama it keeps increasing his strength by 5kg everytime he does the training while for others they both have to increase the workout and will make less gains. Saitama's strength is not limitless as far as we know, but is so high that it seems that way.

Him having a problem with getting what he wanted actually makes sense. The saying that goes to the effect of the real reward was the journey itself, not the end comes to mind, we all have our ambitions, our dreams, and the idea of reaching those are what drives us forward. We usually create other goals and dreams after we reached the previous ones, that's why most of us never really stop moving. The problem is, Saitama's at the end already, not the end of one journey and the start of the next, it's the actual end...so now what? He already got what he wanted, and because of it he's bored out of his mind, nothing feels good anymore, the only reason why he keeps going is the hope that someone can match him eventually, and it's barely enough of a reason for him.

Think of it like having depression, all you want is love and to feel ok the next day. So you strive to get rich and famous, all the validation and praise people give you on the way up could be euphoric but at some point you're gonna plateau you're the top of ur game you're rich beyond belief but there's still a voice in the back of your head saying I'm still not happy. Honestly, when it comes to the top 5 most powerful anime characters, I wouldn't be surprised if Goku doesn't even crack the list with anime's like Saint Seiya, Gurren Lagan and even other DB characters like Beerus, Xeno and Whis, I doubt Goku or Saitama is in the top 5, maybe the top 10, but probably not the top 5

The aspect of him being able to kill anything in one punch is more of a subplot. The real story is about how he became so strong that fighting is boring. He doesn't have anyone to push him, to make him put his life on the line as a hero. This causes him to be incredibly depressed, this is why he tells the one guy (can't remember his name) in the one tournament that if he wants to have fun, to not get any stronger than he already is.

While it seems like it would be a great problem to have, if you yearn for more meaning in the struggle of the fight, and can't get it, that's the curse of the #1 Headband or in Saitama's case the One Punch Man - how can you grow when there is no challenge? If he could do so from the fights in his dreams, then problem solved, those fights are epic. But even Boros, the boss of season one realized Saitama was holding back, and he expected to be champ unlocking and unrestricting his planet leveling power, only to be smote like a weakling. The amount of hold back he does when some Heroes are less than heroes, so that Heroes remain so, is legendary - he's master of the unseen and under rated. When he shows his power he's been good about getting it dismissed, but King knows the score. Why couldn't he beat Goku? Goku has died at least once, he gets stronger, but he's not at the top, not alone. But I ain't one to gossip... .

This dude straight up misses the entire point of “be careful what you wish for”. There are always drawbacks to any wish you could make, and the gamble is if the pros outweigh the cons, but there will ALWAYS be cons. “I wish for a million dollars”, ok you got your million, and now everybody you know will be constantly making you pay for stuff and be squeezing as much money out of you till your broke. “I want to be able to defeat anyone with one punch”, now you feel completely alone and have nobody to EVER relate to. When I was in high school and below I had a kick ass soccer team that played almost every year together in a competitive setting with one or two different people. But we got good and it was hard sometimes to find a team on our best days to hang with us. Not saying we were the shit every day for the season. But when we were hot we were super nova hot and it was hard to find a challenge when you would be up 6 in the first half
