I don’t have a problem with people taking Foden but the reasoning is terrible 1. Saka would also have the titles if he was in that situation 2. Not even Foden is gonna take over Salah 3. Both are better than Rodrygo (I’m a Madrid fan)

Here’s the thing. Foden played with Aguero, Haaland, Mahrez, KDB Kompany and more. He has only become a regular on the team sheet THIS SEASON. He was rotated heavily last year. Saka on the other hand has played with Mustafi, David Luiz, Kolasinac, an aged Ozil, Auba and Laca. How can we even compare their situations? As players Saka has been a cornerstone of making this Arsenal team a title contender. You can’t say that about Foden. I like Foden a lot but he hasn’t done what Saka has done (I don’t even need to bring up the G/A numbers).

What I hate about these types of arguments is that it becomes chaos. Foden and Saka are great players. They don’t play in a similar role or in a similar style however. I don’t think they’ve reached their peak either if they can still improve. Also the situations are just bad. I mean Salah has been probably the best right winger in the prem for 7 years now. Not even foden or Saka or anyone else could’ve displaced him in Liverpool for since 2018. Rodrygo is also worse than both of them too.

Saka is a starter in a resurgent Arsenal, first name on the sheet for his national team; the very same national team Foden plays for, and can't break in over Grealish and Barnes. Yes he missed a penalty against Italy, but so did Rashford and Sancho. Foden wasn't even there to take the penalty. Saka broke into the team with Aubameyang and Özil, been consistently performing, and consistently getting better, to the point that there is only Mohamed Salah who's better than him. And the day Salah retires, Saka will claim the throne of being the single best RW in the world, while Foden will only just become a regular for England.

Foden is a good player but never ever I have seen any other player being compared to him while Saka gets compared to any young winger who hits form gets compared to Saka (Foden included). Saka is setting a standard. I am not disrespecting Foden but people are disrespecting Saka for a penalty in a final when he was 19 years old which was 4 years ago.
