The way she speaks Tibetan, I haven’t heard anyone speaking in that manner specially from our generations who are raised in India. In Hindi we say “nazakat” that’s exactly the trait she has. Very easy, composed and humbleness while speaking Tibetan. I am ashamed with my Tibetan when I listen to Sakina. God bless her, a good content overall.

This is a great transformational video. Thank you both for this beautiful interview. Conversations like these are a bridge to understand our Tibetan Muslims minority and their cultures. Buddhism is majority in Tibet and most of us didn’t even know that our society is such diverse with different wisdoms and cultures. It is an eye opening. His holiness always says that tibetan Muslims are old friends of Tibet. You can see now Sakina keeps our mother language and culture intact even in these difficult times of Tibetan society. I also leaned last winter that there are many Tibetan Muslim brothers and sisters took shelter in jammu and Kashmir after the 1959 invasion just like to took shelter in hill stations of India. Just like all of us they also left Tibet after 1959 invasion to revolt against this illegal invasion that snatched the lion seat of his holiness in his own country.

Myself as a Tibetan Christian, I find Sakina very intelligent & classy woman. It’s very rare in Tibetan community to see intellectual women & especially who believes in Creator God. Muslims, Jews & Christians have one thing in common. We believe in God. It’s also very cool to have no idols or images in a Muslim home & this is something I too don’t keep. However, I do keep family pictures around. Interesting episode indeed. God bless Tibet…🙏
