I hated the Ultra on first sight, but now I love it (especially the grey casing)

So glad I swapped my pre order to standard 7. Love the look of the Ultra but differences would have been overkill for my needs. Watch 7 44mm is the sweet spot for most people I reckon.

When I'm ready to upgrade from the Watch 4 Classic, I think I'll consider the Watch 7 44m. I can't justify spending that much on the Ultra. Most of the features it has, I might not even use. I already have decent battery life on the 4 classic, so the improvement on the Watch 7 will be enough.

Got my watch 7 for $143 before taxes. Used my employee discount, pre order discount and traded in my good old Galaxy watch active2. I don’t like the case on the ultra, I bought the 7. I wish that they had come out with a classic as it has a classier body, but I think I will be happy with the 7. Also, I don’t think I will need the bells and the whistles on the ultra. I really just want to have the option for the extra line that costs less than adding a phone line on a phone :). The most practical would be to buy the Watch7 AND the Samsung Ring for sleep and indoor activity tracking. Extra ruggedness and a swappable look can be achieved by getting a Spigen Armor Case for the watch. BLISS.

I went from an s3 frontier to the 7 44 mm, and i love it.

The only thing driving me insane is the HORRIBLE color choices. Why can't we have a plain black or gold option?!?!?!? And why does everything have to randomly have orange?!?! It looks good, but I don't wear orange almost ever!??!

I bought the Ultra for 480 euro new at KPN shop combined with multi sim for 5 euro a month. Can stop multi sim after 1 month for same price. No need to pay extra for the watch after stopping multi sim.

I’m left handed so I wear my watch on my right side. Is there a setting for that? Otherwise the buttons are on the wrong side for me

Therefore, the Galaxy Watch 7 44mm can be considered to have an advantage in terms of image sharpness that the Galaxy Watch Ultra does not have.

Side note on the 100meters depth also effects higher pressures, i lost a watch climbing a water fall in Jamaica that claimed 100meters but the pressure of the water compromised the seals at maybe a foot of water

Just so people know wireless charging will not work on either watch you'll have to use Puck included with the watch due to rear sensor and glass not biggie I still ordered 7 ultra...

I'm really torn whether or not to go for the watch 7. I have had the Watch 4 Classic for a little over 2 years and the battery doesnt last a full day anymore, even on battery saver. I count a full day as wakeup to sleep, so about 16 hours. In your opinion, has the battery and efficiency improved notably enough that the Watch 7 is worth it? I'm not exactly a power user, just for timers, alarms, checking notifications, and daily fitness goals. Samsung is offering $200 trade in for my Watch4 Classic, plus $50 off in their app

Great review. Happy to see the ultra uses the square(ish) case in place of a larger diameter full circular case to gain internal capacity... if you factor in the corner to corner dimension is larger, but the side to side is about the same as the 44mm non-ultra. Anything larger than 44mm is just too large for us with small wrists. It also seems to lack the extended strap mounts/tabs/ears and almost appears to fit a smaller wrist better. I've been a 40mm Watch 5 user and the 47mm ultra looks very interesting.

I bought both and I also had both during the most recent iterations of these watches. I find myself using the standard model instead of the classic or (assuming the ultra) models because they are thinner for sport. The classic model was dressier so I would wear that one out. The smaller one is perfect for working out.

I suggest a good way to compare the thickness is to put them on the table, side by side, but with the face down. Also, the official specs do not include the curvature of the back glass in the center, which cam lead to not realize how thick each watch really is.

Is the heart rate monitor and sleep tracker quite accurate? The last watches were a little bit off when it came to these things.

I don't have no Samsung Watch yet at all. The phone I have is the S22 Ultra. If I had to choose a watch I'd go with the Watch 7 to start out cheap.

Beware! Went from 5 Pro to new 7 watch and now l'm completely unable to turn off health app related notifications. The options that used to be available to adjust are now completely missing so I'm forced to be distracted with annoying alerts such as Daily Activities Set etc. I can't turn DND on as I' miss the alerts I actually want. How are we going backwards Samsung!?

It's kind of silly that the "night mode" is excliusive to the Ultra. It's a digital display with the same light sensor so why? Noone buys the Ultra for this feature alone anyways. You failed to give us the temp specs to compare.

From the ultra I love them watch face. But pretty sure you could install them later on. I went to the Samsung store when they showed. I saw them both and the 7 is so elegant.

11:55 Speaking about 10 ATM water resistance you state "many people don't t do that kind of diving." Samsung explicitly states the Ultra is not good for diving. It's only passed a static 10 ATM pressure for 10 minutes test, and no dynamic pressure changes that diving will subject it to. This means they Samsung does not codone diving below 1.5 meters! This is a huge difference to the Apple Watch Ultra, or any of the Huawei, or Garmin dive watches.

It is enough for me with Samsung Galaxy Watch, had two bad experiences with W5 Pro and W6 Classic related to screen problems. One turned orange color, one turned to black screen with no signal for no reason. Having searched the same situation on the Internet. I found out that it is about the waterproof (although I was just wearing during daily washes and swimming pool) and daily impaction with objects. What a dismay!

There is no most important information in this comparing. 1. Charge speed, powerfulness of the charger. I've heard, for ultra that is 15w, but I'm not sure for the standart watch 7 it is the same. 2. Is the LTE usable in both watches, or some of them dies fast after 1 minute lte telefone call because of overheating
