Authors Jo Piazza and Christine Pride discuss their new book, "We Are Not Like Them," in conversation with Glynnis MacNicol
In We Are Not Like Them, the new novel by Christine Pride and Jo Piazza, childhood best friends Riley, who is Black, and and Jen, who is white, find their lifelong friendship tested when Jen’s husband, a city police officer, is involved in the shooting of an unarmed Black teenager. We Are Not Like Them explores complex questions of race and how they pervade and shape our most intimate spaces in a deeply divided world.
