Thanks for the thorough testing. It's also nice to see that you were comparing the Uni-ball Signo Broad (1.0 mm) with the fairly similar Sakura Gelly Roll 10 (1.0 mm) and not with the thinner 08. I recently bought the 3-pack of the Gelly Roll white 05|08|10 and the Uni-ball Signo Broad white. But I've only used the Sakura for a little highlighting and error correction in a cartoon and haven't used the Uni-ball at all yet. Sometimes with the Sakura 10 I had to do multiple layers to get the opaqueness I wanted. I'll be on the lookout for the problems you kindly highlighted here.

I paint with watercolor, I can notice a big difference when using the Uni Ball Signo white gel pen ❤️

I would’ve love to see how they perform over color pencils such as Caran D’ache, Faber Castell or Prisma Color or markets like copic and such.

I’m probably going to the Sakura pen since it’s cheaper and it preforms pretty good! Thank you 🙃

Thank you so much for this! I make art using white on black paper style and have been using Sakura for a long time now. Ordered Uniball after watching this. I'm still on look out for something that works like a black ballpoint pen but not gel as my drawing style works well with something less fluid.

Seeing this make me want to get the Sakura pens but when I look them up to purchase on Amazon the reviews there say otherwise. I always see artist refer to the Sakura which is why I'm still very much interested in them. Is there a reliable place online to get ones that work as well as artists say?

im so sad that the gelly rolls i recieves cant right properly (no, actually it doesnt write at all) on paper and i bought 2 (online).. i mean it wasnt really pricey and its more cheap than others but, im still disappointed i cant use it... maybe ill find other use for it some day

i couldnt find the sakura gelly roll at my micheals since it was my birthday it was my only chance in getting it, it wasnt there i so i got the uniball. do you know any ways to make the uniball smoother

Gelly Rolls are clogged even new out of the box. I tried to make mine work, with all the tricks I found on KZfaq, however it never worked.

Will they work over colored pencil ?

Gelly roll is way better than the uni ball signo I have both and the gelly roll is always smoother….unibal dries out way too fast….looks nicer but not the greatest.
