The old 2D artists/team back in the day were infinitely better in their arts (expressive, detailed, perfected drawings and animation) than the ugly 3D modelers/team that capcom replaced them with that we have today. The old team was legendary. They had Bengus and Akiman plus many others who were all top tier in what they do, and they had so much creativity and imagination. They gave us SF2, Alpha series, SFIII and Darkstalker's god-tier animations and art plus all the marvel characters done properly. Capcom made the worst decision in their lives to replace them with 3D animators with SF4 thinking 2D is dead. Meanwhile Arcsys was killing it with the Guilty Gear series and later Blazblue series which were all 2D games.

The most unrealistic thing about this game isn't the fireballs, supers, cat girls in pools, or whatever. It's the fact this high school girl can afford enough plane tickets to travel around the world for the sole purpose of fighting people.

She also appears in any game that has Dhalsim post-SF2. Just play in any of the India stages and she'll be there. SFV now has both Dhalsim's wife and their son in the stage.

Alpha 2 is one of my all-time favorite games. The characters, animation, storyline, and music is still on-point.

Ryu maybe harsh, but he is a student of a very powerful matrial arts that's so dangerous that it could turn some fighters into violent killers. Akuma is a prime example. Ryu can't just teach anyone how to fight like he does even if he was a master. Now that being said, that dialog was pretty cheesy.

Nick Clark he Was so confused about his life and the meaning of fight with satsui no hado and the fight with Akuma, imagine turn in someone like Akuma, that would be scary, but Sakura and Ken help Ryu in that moment, i think if Sakura or Ken don't talk or fight with Ryu in the alpha series, probably Ryu turns into evil Ryu and His story would'nt be what it Is now.

Some observations: Why do they maintain the “Z” motif in the westernized “Alpha” series? The Z made sense when the game series was called Streetfighter Zero 2 but seems odd when they later changed it to Alpha for the Americans. Also; anyone else notice the huge nosedive in quality in both music and stages between Zero 2 and Zero 3? 2 just looks and sounds a LOT better to me.

Hinata Wakaba is Sakura's friend along with Kei Chitose which is seen and mentioned in one of Hinata's ending sequences in Project Justice (Rival Schools 2). That's why they have some similar attacks, they trained together before Sakura went to look for Ryu after seeing him fight. Sakura get's trained by Ryu later and then learns the Dark Hadou which attarcts Akuma to her, where Akuma's teaches her how to use and release the Dark Hadou to attack Ryu with. It took Ryu's dark Hadou to absorb all of Sakura's dark Hadou to change her back but this caused him to become Evil Ryu which attracted Gill to him but he was defeated easily by Gill.

I pretty sure everyone knows this by now, but some say Rose is based on Lisa Lisa from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. She even looks like Lisa Lisa. Her stage is in Venice (the same place where Joseph met Lisa Lisa in JoJo) and in Capcom Fighting Evolution, Rose's Midnight Bliss looks EXACTLY like Lisa Lisa's outfit from when she first appeared in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.

In Ken's stage you can see Hsien-ko and Mei standing close by each other, Hsien-ko occasionally peeking at Lord Raptor while he plays his guitar.

I still like Alpha 3 more because that was my first fighting game but after playing this one this is my second favorite SF but I haven't really played 3rd Strike at all and that game looks really fun too. Also, every character has a different final boss that relates to their story so for Chun and Charlie they fight Bison, Akuma fights Gen, Ken and Sakura fight Ryu, Ryu fights Akuma and that's all I can remember right now.

There are a fuckton of cameos in Ken's stage, Jon Talbain (human), Morrigan, Lei-Lei, and I think Lord Zabel/Raptor (human) are all on the left side of the stage, I'd LOVE to see that stage remade in SFV with a bunch of callbacks to Old-School Capcom.

Sakura has always been my favorite from her first introduction but also, I’ve never thought about this before but who the heck funded a Japanese high school girl to travel the world in order to beat up dangerous martial artists during summer break? :v and she still managed to make it back for classes
