With all the knowledge that you have acquired with Naruto I think you need to just go ahead and do a separate novel because clearly the original writer of Naruto totally dropped the ball when it came to character development.

I think his sage mode is the sages green body that supposedly ashura got from his father . Its states indra got the eyes and ashura got the green body sage. So its my theory that hashirama linked and connected to his reincarnation and was able to harness the power and the green body sage his predecessor had and turned it into a sage mode and then when he used up all of ashura charka and reincarnation soul he died. That is why naruto is so weak compared to all his other reincarnation bc hashirama used all of it up and all that was repassed down was his soul.

I think this bc when madara gets apart of hashirama cell’s. Madara is essentially mixing ashura and indra charka. The eye that evolved the faster was the left eye and it turned into a rinnegan first and he only had his left eye after fighting hashirama in think to. So when he died with full rinnegan he was essentially a ashura and indra hybrid now with charka and souls mixing and when it was sasuke turn to be a reincarnation he kind of knew already (sage of six path said he knew) and that’s why his left eye evolved so quicker and stronger than everyone else bc madara had the charka mix to his left eye the fastest and it helped him become stronger in the left eye. Then with kabuto putting more hashirama cells when the sage gives him a charka boost his left eye is instantly turned into a shar-rinnegan bc the charka of ashura and indra was the most strongest there and got a power up from a rinnegan

God i hope sakura gets sage mode. I just want sakura to get all the amps and then leave the village to set up doctors without borders. I don't know what it would do for her though. Slugs just aren't that cool. I'd like if it let her direct katsuyu's acid release because acids are very important in synthesizing medicine.

Also if I remember correctly, the only thing that was able to kill Katsuyus's mini slugs was the God Tree. And she has like super high durability.

Boruto, Itachi, minato, and shisui are probably the most naturally powerful shinobi. They’re talent is through the roof. Boruto being a mix of hagaromo and hamura dna definitely has the most potential.

Guess there's a possibility for all of them. And that's made me think if someone could be a sage of 2 different sage modes or all of them. But I think Sarada can be a slug sage or a snake sage or a road sage.

Yeh. i feel like Hashiramas sage mode should be called life sage mode or nature sage mode. It seems so different as if its 1 tier above snake and toad. I would like to put slug sage mode under Hashiramas and call it a perfect sage mode itself but unlike Hashiramas where nobody can replicate his by natural means people can learn slug sage mode. In a way tho even this one requires a lot of mastery. Like you said she couldn't quite master it. I mean Sasuke couldn't master snake sage mode and he's a genius. Jirayai as well whose an absolute sage 1 in a million still couldn't learn it. With all his background knowledge and years he spent there's just so many restrictions and requirements. Naruto just had the right set: best teacher (Jirayai), Insane chakra, jinchuriki, and one that is hypothetical but genetics. I assumed that if a parent learned sage mode it would be easier to learn sage mode. The child would also stay the same no feature change but along the line there may be some genetic mutation. Kinda like the Hoshigaki clan. Most animal clans actually got their features from centuries of sage mode users getting their genes messed up. In this case Naruto only had his dad get sage mode and being the prodigy he is Minato actually mastered it. I put toad and snake on a pedestal as the hardest 2 to learn (only below Hashiramas) so for Mito to not even learn slug sage mode is impressive of Naruto (which would've shown how capable he is). Add to the fact that if slug and say monkey sage mode are a sub set of wood sage mode then that would mean they are like class C sage modes (class B being toad and snake). S tier i would put so6p mode or a new unknown sage mode. The so6p doesn't need to be the best sage user. Also another factor adding to the fact that there wasn't much known about sage mode & Hashirama was a bad teacher slug sage mode would be harder to learn cos of the lack of info. But simpler in the fact that first there are less restrictions like Sakura learning sage mode without any specific traits. Also the fact that you don't get eaten if you can't learn sage mode unlike snake. I assume snake would be the easiest but riskiest as well. If you have luck (body type compatibility) then learning snake sage mode seems to involve less training than toad. If it weren't for the fact that you can't guarantee you learn sage and if failing means death then I would put it at class C. Which might mean there are better alternatives. Like monkey sage mode but the sage monkeys are stubborn an only choose a select 'few'. They barely taught Hiruzen so he only accesses small fragments of knowledge but Konohamaru has been able to go back and forth to get an 'incomplete' version. Like he said how about Kiba's ancestor somehow messing up in dog sage mode. This could go into a whole new branch about genetics and the long term effects e.g. animal features. How about Kekkei genkai like oil or something. What if certain elements unique to sage mode have somehow been acquired by other clans after an over usage of it. They somehow 'learnt' it. Ok back to topic. Tsunade's grandfather was Hashirama right and the fact that Mito is her grandmother I believe. She has more compatibility for sage mode than Mito and Sakura even though those 2 have better odds and better head start. Mito has huge chakra reserves and Hashirama has perfect sage mode ... need I say more. Sakura was taught by Tsunade and usually the student would surpass their sensei. Naruto and Sasuke both did, Minato and the 3 sannin somewhat surpassed their teacher. Don't get me wrong Hiruzen is great an all but Orochimaru had a good chance of killing him. All 3 had somewhat 'imperfect' sage mode. Orochimaru (correct me on this) had snake sage mode but kept changing bodies which many were 'incompatible' like Sasukes. Tsunade had slug sage mode in everything but name. Which she was shown to be more powerful like summoning more of Katsuyu. I had hoped she had some other unique abilities (drawing life forces from inanimate objects+living objects for example). Or actually drawing nature energy from the surrounding but it taking a toll on her body (to not make her too op/nerf). There should be a SPECIFIC distinction so people don't confuse slug sage mode with Hashiramas one. She practically has a perfect sage mode but is missing information. Maybe better healing methods or ability to transfer her soul. Like how Hashirama had these insane wood style techniques there should be more for Tsunade. As for Jirayai I actually like it more that he has imperfect sage mode. It suits him.

Well in that very episode he got training or I should say got his ass kicked by Kakashi's ninja hounds. They could have made Pakkun say something like " If you can't even keep up with us you have no chance against this legendary wolf in some Mountains" And then he states that it is on par with the two tailed beast and then he goes off an a 2 episode adventure to find it, gain its respect and befriend then eventually create a summoning contract with it.

I like the barking idea too it could be done in a way where he makes a sound with a frequency low enough that casts a foe under a genjustu, and it can also be done in a way to send messages over long distances to another Inuzuka member making them very good as information gather's and operatives.

Also I just remembered there was a filler episode where Naruto and some of the gang went to some island of summoning animals so I believe that regular summoning animals are just wild creatures that can be tamed in the wild.
