Some context here: Idoling were a prominent idol group and Moa was/is a huge idol fan (she had an extensive figurine collection, anime dvds, live dvds, etc.), so obviously she put her hand up. By the way, the little prompt on screen says Moa was 136cm at the time. 11:55 - Moa asks Ami (the girl who hugged her) if they could be relatives because they share the same last name, and because Moa's relatives live in Ami's home region Hokkaido. Ami regretfully tells her they're not related. 15:02 - After Moa "loses", the other girl asks if she should go get some candy. Because Moa was a smol child. The game itself I have no real idea about. The announcer tongue-in-cheek said it was a "Idol warring period". The early 2010s saw something of a boom for Idol groups so competition was really fierce. A lot of them end up on these weird variety shows just for publicity, even if they're unrelated to the singing/dancing the groups are usually made for. In this case, Sakura Gakuin were a brand new group so you can find a lot of vids of them doing just some pretty out-there stuff lol.

Well whatever they were saying it all looked like they were having good fun.

🌸 🏫 Sakura Gakuin members are 10 to 15 years old. Typically SG graduation is the same as middle school graduation IRL. More recently, because of COVID and some delayed graduations, they have had members as old as 16. Idoling!!! was a Japanese TV show with an attached female idol group. It ran from 2006 to 2015. None of the Sakura Gakuin members ever joined. BTW, both Airi Matsui (the tallest SG member) and Ayaka Miyoshi are now 5' 7". Which pretty much makes them towering Amazons in Japan. : ) During the second battle, they listed Airi at 170cm, and the Idoling member at 164cm.

The height thing is simply a matter of perspective. The two tallest girls, Airi and Ayaka, are only around 5'7". It is just that all the other girls are so short.

Okay, this is what's going on. Idoling is obviously an idol group. Basically, these two Idoling members are challenging idol groups to a butt sumo competition etc (i don't know what it's called) so the two Idoling members are challenging Sakura Gakuin members so Moa and Airi were the ones who accepted the challenge. Just a bit of translation in some parts at 11:00 - the one Idoling member grabs Moa and Moa said to her that they have the same surname Kikuchi but they conclude that they are not related so she hugs her in a way kawaii and sad realization way lol. Ayami the student president (leader) got a bit mad (kidding mad) at the end that there should be a revenge match but in the end it's just all fun and games. Airi Matsui and Ayaka Miyoshi (from Alice in Borderlands) are 170cm like 5'7 and still are today. Ayami also never grew she is still 149cm. lol

Very annoying having no subtitles, I agree. Now , when Su does her speech it has got subs, as has Moas message to Su . This will cause the brain too ESPLODE. And add the graduation toss on at the end to finish things off. You may need to call the EMTs to stretcher LVT out at the end. 🦊🦊🦊 🧠🧠💥🔥

You both need to see Yui's Tomato-kun impression... And the Nendo test's. Airi and Ayaka are definitely tall for their age (average height for a Japanese female is 5'2"), especially compared to Ayami who is the same age.

I am not sure but this seems to be a clip of Japanese music TV program. The two of Idoling!!! members, Asahi Nao(朝日奈央, black hair) and Kikuchi Ami (菊地亜美, blonde hair) are MC, and visit other labels and introduce to other idol groups and promote them in the form of a funny competitions(hip sumo wrestling). Idoling!!! The two members here are Ami Kikuchi and Nao Asahi. The group was based on a TV show of the same name, in which they were taught how to be idols. They disbanded in 2015. I've requested a pair of reactions, so you can get to know them a little better.

I'm glad I currently learn Japanese. I can read the Katakana writings at 3:47. It's written: "アイドリング" (Aidoringu) means Idoling. 😊 The below text I can't read because it's Kanji writing and I haven't reach there yet. At 5:03 she said "グルメです". It means gourmet. Because gourmet is a foreign word so it used katakana writings. I wonder if the person that got bumped out and lost means that they got "gourmeted"? I guess.. 🤣🤣

Miyoshi is listed as 171 cm or roughly 5' 7-1/4" and Airi is listed as 170 cm, just under 5'7".. These heights are per their respective Amuse profiles.

jokes aside child abducting is a serious problem in Japan between foreign parents and japanese, so be aware anyone of dating and having a japanese child bc japanese goverment do nothing in foreign parents favor. Little perspective...Moa there is a little over 4' 4 at the time (Moa's just a smidge over 5' now)...the other girl is a gigantic 5' 3 (roughly), they are all smol. Really the 5' 3 is pretty much average (give or take a bit) for an adult Japanese female. The 2 from SG are VERY tall for Japanese girls/women. If you notice in the other vids that take place in the 'classroom' both are taller than the teacher. For me, I'd look like Godzilla walking around the place.
