The movie made me realize how much important was Mai to Sakuta. Yes he loved her a lot, they both helped each other a lot, they were cute and stuff like that. But when it came to importance it always felt like Shoko has been more important to Sakuta than Mai. This is well represented when after Kaede gets her memory back, Sakuta is helped by shoko once again and Mai feels bad for not being the one to help him during that time. Considering all of this it has even a bigger impact when she sacrifice herself for him. It's only when he cracks after her death that you realize how important she was to him. This applies toreal life too. People are important to you even when they do nothing "spectacular" for you, but even when they are just with, when they are willing to put you as one of the most important thing of their life even though they don't show it with big actions. Luckily it has an happy ending, I don't think I would have recovered esily from her death

@@Free.7fx long story short mei (the gf of the protagonist) sacrifices herself so that he doesn't die. But he manages to go back in time and avoid her sacrifice. However by doing that he destined the other girl (shoko) to die because she won't receive the heart she needs (she would have received from him or from his gf dependin on who would have die). At that point (if I understood correctly) he manages to go back in time again where everything goes exactly how it went before but with the difference that he never met Shoko (there he wouldn't feel the need to die for her). But thanks to what seems to be fragments of memory of their original timeline, mei rememes of what happend and subconsciously acted in a movie where she interpreted a girl that needed a heart surgery. The film was a success and was used as a publicity for donators of organs (including Hearts). This allowed shoko to receive a heart. They however don't remember her at first but then they do. So basically it ends with him and mei still being gf and with shoko being alive. Hope I explained myself

Everyone before watching this anime probably used to think it was, just a normal shitty small harem anime. What it actually was a rollercoaster of emotion which taught me how much sad it is, if only you can find happiness, so you won't cry and overcome any problem in your life. It was weird that I learned something which was actually not intended to learn.

The one thing that made me cry the most is the part where Sakuta was literally Crying and Busted cuz the Death of Mai was straight up heartbroken to those watching. Losing a loved one is truly sad. But thank goodness the movie+anime had a Happy Ending. Definitely 10/10 and I recommend it alot.

I feel like this part explains a lot about his love for mai and his love for shouko. He's grateful to shoko bcuz she was there thru hard times in his past, but when it comes down to who he truly loves it's mai. Ppl were confused during the movie. However it's also cuz he has a kind heart. The difference in his relationship with the two is explicitly shown in this part and it's heart breaking.

Seeing Mai's mom, Nodoka, Kaede, Kunimi and Futaba here, and finally Sakura walking like a zombie at Fujisawa pleading to have saved Mai was really really just too much for me when I watched the movie. I really feel sorry for Sakuta here, as for the first time it is shown that he really has no one on his side, just as he was there for Mai-san, Tomoe, Futaba, Nodoka, and her sister. Really, her line of "loving Sakuta beyond his imagination" became morbid here… Thankfully the movie ended differently, and thanks to Shoko as well.

Rascal really doesn't dream about Bunny Girl Sempai until she's gone. Would his love be real and consistent after they're together again? She gave her life for him even when he betrayed her. Would his love be as deep as hers?
