I miss the old blast templates and more logical armor facings on vehicles. More 30k, please!

I much prefer blasts in Horus Heresy where the irritation of spacing out several 20+ man units isn’t really present, or at least not as much. Armour facing I actually liked. And this is from someone who only caught the tail end of 7th

Blasts can feel better fluff wise. Only problem was all the arguments it caused over how fiddly it was.

Its way more immersive alright!! I hate vindicators shooting through itself or basilisks firing backwards?? i have actually stopped playing 40k because of it

@@Blight02 I honestly almost never ran into arguments about templates. I would just hold the template and have the other player count how many things got hit. In almost every case they gave me MORE hits than I would have counted. I can't ever remember someone shorting me.

Horus Heresy is pretty much just 7th Ed 40k. There are some changes to unit sizes and such but it’s not hard to pick up if you’ve played 7th

@@jonathanbradford3155 I was like you. I never started playing until 8th edition (early 8th for me). But this morning, I played my first Horus Heresy game and had a blast. It is really straightforward and easy to pick up.

I believe that a Tribune is the equivalent of a company captain while the Praetor commands a Chapter/Grand Battalion/Brotherhood/Whatever Your Legion Calls The Next Largest Formation. Yay Horus Heresy!

I think it's sort-of any higher ranking legion official, essentially chapter masters, first captains, lord commanders etc.

Would love to have a specific spot in the release schedule for HH and WFB, even if it would just be once a month alternating between the two. It really is a highlight when a batrep of either shows up and I really want to see more of it.

I mean seriously - why not a Horus Heresy series on this channel? It would add to the catalog of things this channel offers. At this point it feels like this channel only does 40k and Sigmar. Branch out a little. It doesn’t need to be a weekly thing, but some sort of schedule like twice a month would be good. MWG have so many HH models and it seems there is interest from Luca and Josh to play it. Just give it a shot!

Great to watch some mechanised Heresy. So much fun to watch the vehicles move, how the players need to watch their armour and firing arks, plus how each hit could have different effects on the target.

I’m so glad that you guys put this out today! Luka’s my favorite host, closely followed by Josh, so this was perfect. Also, the only games I’m interested in are Heresy- even though I’ve been a Warhammer fan since 1988, I have never played a single game, believe it or not. I’m strictly a lore enthusiast and a builder/painter of models- my main army is a 30K Raven Guard Legion force, with an allied Mechanicum army. I’m really strict about everything being era-appropriate, so all of my models are in 30K armour Marks and are only equipped with appropriate weapons, etc. Anyway, thanks for sharing this batrep with us, and I hope that you guys and your loved ones have a safe, healthy, and happy new year!

Glad to see some more Horus Heresy. I don't have the funds to invest in it and standard 40k, and it reminds me of when I first got into 40k in 7th edition. Also, those Firedrakes just reminded me so much of Dawn of War, where you have these just really disinterested walking balls of *THUMP THUMP* who just delete things.

Thanks for the game. Great reminder that I love Heresy, but don't miss the grey areas between Vehicles and Monstrous Creatures that send even experienced players back to the rulebook. I really like the hindsight narrative of this particular game too. The noble Salamanders took the ground and sold their lives dearly. The Mechanicum assassinated a high ranking character, his bodyguard and two expensive vehicles. Definite Mechanicum victory.

Praetors led chapters. Depending on the legion, Praetors could be warpamiths, chapter masters, lord Khans, ect.

I haven't bee on this channel in months. I don't care for AoS or 40k as I only play 30k. Friend told me today MWG has a new 30k video after so long with Josh and Luka..... Ran here as fast as I could, so nice to see. If this truly becomes a weekly or bi weekly thing again I am for sure re signing for a vault membership. Great game guys.

The cool thing about Mechanicum or Kharadron Overlords is that nobody else knows how those armies work, so Josh can say whatever he wants and his opponent just has to take his word for it.

Definitely would like to see more Horus Heresy games - I havent actually ever got to play it but i played 6th\7th, hopefully I can once things are back to normal. I miss the old armour facings and when i got into Necromunda it reminded me how much fluffier templates felt. My only Forgeworld models so far are a Deredeo and Laser Vindicator but theyre so cool....and for what GW is charging for 40k stuff these days (Pariah Nexus...) Forgeworld Prices dont seem so bad for some really great looking models.
