This 60 min. special was made in 1995 as it celebrated the shows
15th anniversary which began on the 14th of July 1980. The shows retrospective includes then current host and model Glenn Ridge & Nicky Buckley, Temptation and first host Tony Barber and announcer Peter Smith.
This look back includes: the models, Campions, funny moments, a look at the international versions, and a special appearance by Reg Grundy, the shows Founder.
If you watch till the end of the show, the credits include a rap.... I would not recommend watching it, but I included it. You have been warned.

The man at 42:52 is longstanding cameraman Phil Lambert. He retired in 2019 after working as a cameraman and floor manager at GTV9 since 1969 and was also their longest serving staff member. He was known for his on-screen appearances on Hey Hey it's Saturday where he was known by the nickname "Lucky Phil."

Before replacing Tony Barber. Glenn Ridge had worked over 10 years in Television and Radio in Regional Victoria. (Bendigo and Ballarat)

There was a thing called "tracking" back in the VCR days... That frgn BUZZING noise throughout this entire upload is proof that someone didn't make the manual adjustment before transferring onto digital!!

On the Paraguayan version, it looks like whenever two players tie, the contestant with the lowest score wins.

When is this game show coming back? We haven’t gotten any new episodes of this franchise since the Australian;Ian version got cancelled back in November 3001.

Glenn Ridge (and everybody else) knows that there were OTHER things that happened in 1980: Ted Turner launches CNN Ronald Reagan dethrones Jimmy Carter in a near landslide The Miracle on Ice Pac-Man hits the arcades (and our lives) Terry Bradshaw gets one more Super Bowl ring And of course...the whole world asking: "Who Shot J.R.?"!!! By the way, America's first test test tube baby would come the following year (1981).

Notice a clip of Mort Camens was shown. Either it was taken from the original master of the episode, or all Reg Grundy Productions inc. saved was just a clip, and the original master of the episode doesn't exist anymore. Mitt Dawson originated the rumor that the pre-1988 daytime episodes no longer exist.

***** What about these particular Jack Barry game shows: CBS Joker's Wild (1972-1975), and CBS "Hollywood's Talking" (1973)? Pretty much every episode of the former exists, but the latter has been wiped.

Anyway, 20 bucks says it's the original master copy, and that Reg Grundy himself has all the pre-88 daytime shows in his own vault in Australia.

+Vahan Nisanian The Joker's Wild-- We know it all still exists. Hollywood's Talking-- Unproven, since CBS stopped wiping in late '72. Besides, at the very least, 4 episodes are still accounted for, including the premiere episode. And BTW, in case you happen to bring up Dream House, the only show that was allegedly destroyed in that alleged flood was Dream House, when the episodes were in possession of series creator Don Reid (who had absolutely nothing to do with Sale of the Century).

I don't know what her name was, but she was actually the very first contestant to leave "Sale" with a Mercedes. The one following her, Vince Smith, was the very first Lot winner. I guess for this montage, winning a car was the minimum requirement to be included.

I wonder who instituted the speed round first, Australia or United States? I know that the last three questions in the US was anti-climatic (either with someone with a huge lead or the $25 money card guaranteed someone a victory, since they would then be in the lead by $20+)
