Salem and Hillsborough 1009 is an ex-CN 4-6-0 steam locomotive. It operated for a number of years on the Salem and Hillsborough Railroad until about 1994. It has been on static display since then.
In the video it is shown leaving Hillsborough and passing the Weldon station sign. There is a short segment in the engine itself.
This video was uploaded by Steve Boyko after David's death, on the request of David's widow Pat. She wants to share David's work with everyone. This video was part of the OBE video "Canadian Trains from the Atlantic to the Pacific Volume 1". Apologies for any errors or omissions in the captions.
This video was recorded using a tripod-mounted camcorder on VHS videotape and then digitized, so the quality is not as good as David's later work.
