We recommend using Salesforce Trailhead - they have a lot of great resources and paths for learning and preparing for their certification exams!

I love this video!!!! I have a client who has products, master product GROUP, and product CATEGORY... so I am thinking 🤔 Product = Product, Product Category = Product Category, and perhaps Master Product GROUP = an individual Price Book??? ....

Hi Anna, thanks so much for watching! I would only use different price books if Master Product Group has different prices for the same product. One limitation in Salesforce is that you can only use one price book in an opp, quote, order. You can't mix and match entries from different pricebooks. Another option is to use dependent picklists on the product record. Master Product Group would then have sub Categories. I think that would be easier to maintain too.

I'm not sure if you could help me with a SOQL subquery: I need to create a query that gives me results: Opportunity-Product-Quantity-UnitPrice-TotalPrice The problem is that both Opportunity and PricebookEntry are objects that are not related but they do have a relationship through OpportunityLineItem. How could I create multiple queries (Select from..) in one if two objects are not related? Thank you very much!

Hey Villaloving Pastor, I'm not able to write the SOQL query unfortunately, but I do believe there is a hidden field on the Opportunity object with the ID of the pricebook. API name is Pricebook2Id. Hello, Can you add products to assets? So the asset is the parent and the product is the child?

Hi Door Doctors. There is already a lookup field from Asset to Product. It might not be on your page layout. I would add that if it's missing. Will this solve your problem?

When you create an opportunity you can choose a price book if you have more than one, but you can only choose one per opportunity. That way the appropriate pricing is automatically loaded when you select products for that opportunity.
