Salim Ismail is a man who is passionate about business, entrepreneurship, and technology. He is a technology strategist, software engineer, and successful entrepreneur having founded technology companies including Confabb, PubSub Concepts, and Ångströ, which was acquired by Google in 2010. He led Brickhouse, Yahoo!’s internal incubator.
He is also the best-selling author of the book Exponential Organizations that reached No. 1 on Amazon’s “Best-Sellers in Business Management,” and was named Frost & Sullivan’s “Growth, Innovation and Leadership Book of the Year.”

Really useful insights! Basically, everything we think we know about the business world, we need to unlearn and relearn in accordance with the shift from scarcity to an abundance economy.

Great interview indeed. I'm quite surprised that we haven't heard as much from Salim Ismail compared to how much he has to say. Although there's probably a balance that has to be maintained in order to focus on doing things rather than promoting them.

@@catalinmatei What struck me the most (and one of the reasons might be the impact that this might have) is the fact we'd be able to change the education system to a more purpose-driven approach. The fact that you could concentrate from an early age on something you are passionate about, going deep in that field, rather than fighting for some numbers on a paper for years on end, is something that would create many opportunities. Opportunities for people to do more of the things they like. If we look at any successful person, we can see that the term usually applies to someone who has a comfortable financial situation while doing something he or she enjoys - and if not, they usually switch their mindset at one point after they see that money doesn't bring them happiness.

This interview is dangerous. I just imagine how a lot of kids will take the information from it and use it to fight against their parents mindset.:)) Leaving the joke away. It is interesting to have a better explanation of what happens in the world right now. Thank you for this great interview Catalin!
