Basically he was a romantic superstar in the 90s like SRK....and in 2009 wanted came and he became an action superstar as his films were not doing well before. Wanted was like a carrier changing movie for him. That's from where he Salman bhai😂❤

The plus points of this guy - 1. Very few actors achieve the stardom he has achieved which SHOWS that there's something in him the audience likes. 2. No adult/kiss scenes in the movies. Families can watch together - that's also a plus point. 3. People say he can't act - and I agree he isn't a "fine" actor like Rajkumar Rao , Nawazuddin Siddiqui etc... But there are many of his movies which HIT in the core emotionally or he has played the role really well even when it comes to acting - for eg. Tere Naam , Kyon Ki , Wanted , Dabangg , Sultan , Ek tha Tiger , Tiger Zinda Hai , Partner , Judwaa , Karan Arjun , Veer , Jaan-E-Mann etc.... 4. And even though soo many say that its nepotism - but this guy did make a comeback after going through a phase of stuff not working out in his favour. 5. You can see that he worked hard by the simultaneous amount of movies he did. Its no joke to go through filming all those movies , they consume your time. 6. He has a quirk - his dance moves get famous ( like Govinda ) among the public. 7. Love him or hate him - you can't ignore him. The guy is RAW , people KNOW the scandals he has been through and the bad stuff of his life too - and people then chose to become his fans. That is why his fans stick by him through thick and thin.

In 90s there was no competition for Salman look wise.... nobody looks like him nobody has six pack abs....1994 he has givn Hum aapke hain kaun the movie of that Decade which change the history of Bollywood...then in 2000 Hrithik came and Salman found a competition look wise and body wise..and the interesting fact is Salman trained Hrithik in his GYM for his debut movie...In 2004 Khan was ranked as the 7th Best looking man in the world by People Magazine of the USA...and that was the 1st time when a Bollywood actor made himself into that list..

We need actors who knows acting, method acting,who can express soul of the story through his or her expression,who can reflect the pain through dialogues,who can pick up script oriented movies, challenging roles even if it is a supporting character. There are actors who may not get the throughout roles,but they stole our hearts within minutes. A brilliant actor does not need multi talents,thus it doesn't serve as the only criteria to be a an actor.

in 90s Salman has record braking movies...started with Maine Pyar Kiya which was Highest grosser of that year and also highest grosser of that decade 1980-1989 1994 (Hum Apke Hain Kaun) was highest grosser of the year and also highest grosser of that decade 1990-1999 .. Saajan was the highest grosser of 1991 and Sanam Bewafa was the 5th highest grosser of 1991 and the same year has given two clean hits (Patthar Ke Phool) and (Baaghi) ... 1999 was fully dominated by Salman khan (Hum Saath Saath Hai) was the highest grosser of 1999 followed by (Biwi no 1) and (Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam) and this is the only record where a Bollywood actor has given top 3 biggest hit in a single year top 3 movie of 1999 belongs to Salman khan ... then Karan arjun also the 2nd highest grosser of 1995 these are record breaking movies of 90s and Judwaa 1997, Andaz Apna Apna 1994, Jeet 1996... I would suggest you watch Jaan-e-maan one of the most underrated movie of Salman and Akshay, it has amazing cinematography, I loved it more than La La Land. Also watch Mujse Shadi karogi and Partner.

1. Salman was superstar after his first movie as a lead actor "Meine Pyaar kiya". 2. Salman was always more popular and hit than srk... after "kuch kuch hota hai" srk got more Popularity. 3. Madhuri Dixit was the best lead actress of that time and "hum apke hai kon" was super hit movie of both. 4. Kareena kapoor's elder sister is karishma kapoor. Salman worked alot with her and very good movies they both did. 5. "Pyaar kiya toh darna kya" was again very hit movie. 6. Salman was never a action hero but he did really few & good action movie in 90's & 20's like baghi, veergati, tumko na bhool payenge. It was Wanted after which he became more action hero.
