i try and use my videos as training sessions and real time fishing reports. i try and share how things are done. It's just humane vs having it slowly die over a long period of time.

there's really no choice as it's a narrow river. but that's the norm up here. anchored boats will go closer to the bank to allow the trollers to have the other side. believe it or not, this was a VERY LOW traffic day.

lol. they get fed pretty well as all the people who catch clean at that station. that's why they hang out there. they just wait for all the guides/anglers to clean the fish and they feast. :) they come swim up right next to the cleaning station I'm guessing that there's about 20 to 50 fish cleaned there everyday depending on hot the action is. last year, there was an otter who came on the dock to get our scraps.

@@oregonsurfperchfishing5144 ya, you explained that in the video and then left us hanging lol. If you go back or find yourself in a similar situation, show the people the seals or other critters eating the scraps.

@@jacobgeorge8677 ahhh. i get what u mean :) last year, they came right up to the cleaning station but not this year. but what u say, makes total sense. :) Also, i forget that not all viewer know i do these videos mainly for my fellow club members and not to be a utuber as i'm just trying to help as many as possible. but 99% of my videos are surf perch to give real time fishing reports to my fellow club members.

there's a couple of private campgrounds u can pay to use. i'm not an expert but we were fishing out of Chinook Bend. U should call ahead though to make sure they allow the general public. There's two other places i believe on the same road that parallels the Siletz. Jay Kendrick knows the river very well so that's what helps tremendously. he knows where the snags are, where the big holes are, trolling speed is judged based on tides/currents, etc.
