It's posh car show time, with the much-anticipated Salon Prive show held at Blenheim Palace. This is the first time TheCarGuys have attended this high-priced exclusive event, and so it’s the right time to ask the obvious question - what's so special about Salon Privé?
Created by two ordinary guys with an obsession for cars, TheCarGuys.tv is a digital channel that celebrates everything automotive - supercars, classics, quirky, hidden gems and those in the TCG garage.

What a wonderful show! There seems to be an equal amount of gorgeous, curvaceous, and expensive cars as there are women in attendance -- seemed like a great event to meander about drinking champagne, enjoying the music, and taking in the eye candy. Another good video.

Having seen the Brown Lusso and the SWB blue Superamerica in person at a concours in Beverly Hills several years ago, I remember how absolutely gorgeous these cars were, especially the magnificent restorations.

It's called Green Jewel, and that exact car is currently for sale - at £500k+ though, it's not cheap

@@TheCarGuysTV I'll start saving my pennies. I found some images of a 458 in that color, and would love to see it on either an 812 or an F8. It might look a little odd on more classic models, but I think a green jewel 328 would be interesting to see. Thanks, guys! Speaking of which, what do you think of the F8 Tributo? I really like the subtle style upgrade from the 488 and think it's actually a better looking car.

I never really liked Ferrari to be honest. I always liked the 288 gto and F40 but this video has opened my eye massively! I am now a history fan!

Great video as usual and what an impressive gathering of special Ferrari. How does this event compare to Goodwood FoS? (In my view, the best event for the open public) I guess you can only attend salon privé by invitation, hence the name.

Thanks, David. Glad you enjoyed it. Salon Prive is far more exclusive and expensive to attend that both events you mention. I forget the exact cost, but it was a lot. It’s a small high class event, so you get close access to the highest calibre of cars, and a number of exclusive boutique shopping stands and dealers. It’s worth a look.

TheCarGuys.TV I guess it’s then not within my reach, although I agree it seems to be worth a look. For me, the greatness of Goodwood FoS is the vast variety of cars, great access to exotic and rare cars (including racing cars) and the most important part: the hill climb, getting to see the cars in action. All at a price that working people can still afford. I just wanted a bit of an insight on how these two events compare, and if the higher ticket price is really worth it.

David D I find the FOS far too over-subscribed ; it spoils the event for me. Salon Prive is expensive but that’s what makes it exclusive and far less crowded. BTW, I can’t afford it either. I think if events like the FOS restricted their ticket sales to a sensible level then I wouldn’t mind going again.

I have to attend a wedding so I’m going to miss FoS anyway! :( I am thinking on going to the Revival instead.
