Your hair turned out cute. I think rollersets are healthy and low maintenance. This is tempting me to relax my hair. Blowout and flat ironing every two weeks is time consuming for me!

I love this look on you! I'm much older and have always preferred voluminous curls when I wear wigs & weaves. My hair is neck length & when I've tried to create big curls with my 2" Curling iron, they just flop on comb through. My mom used to always roller set her hair & it would look so beautiful for days. I'll need to see how you pin curl it at night to keep your look. Great video!

That looks nice. Two hours under the dryer? lol I don't know anyone who would do that today. I remember when that was the only way to do your hair if you had a relaxer. There was no blow dryers they hadn't came out yet... no curling irons were allowed on relaxed hair. Only wet set and it looked like that worked better on hair for some reason no direct heat because the hair already was broken down from that relaxer. That set would last for two weeks even if you didn't roll it every night.

Thank you! I didn’t mind sitting under a dryer i was watching tv. You can adjust the time for what works for you or do what works best for you hair. 😊

I think a set lasting two weeks depends more on how you sleep, I’m too wild of a sleeper for any hairstyle to last me two weeks especially without rolling and or wrapping it every night.

@@Queenieurbane I'm An old man. lol I used to do these back in the day. We had these metal hood dryers they would dry you in about 30 to 45 mins. Something about those dryers they would some how lock in those curls. Yes my customers would set their hair them selves at home but the home dryers just would not lock in that curls the same way the dryers in the shop would. I guess that's what kept my money coming in . lol I had my sisters in perms because my mom did not want to press their hair so they would have to get up in the morning Saturday morning and get their hair set or a retouch. They wanted to sleep in , they should of been happy because they were getting their hair done for free every week.

When roller setting the ends of the hair must lay smooth on the roller in order to prevent breakage and a rat tail comb should also be used

Brush the hair in a circular motion and wrap it with Saran wrap then get under the dryer.
