Surprisingly large amount of dialogue here--some good lip synching work by the animators!

It appeared that in the earliest days of Terrytoons, someone at that studio must have had an obsession with food, which might explain the foody titles of a lot of the cartoons from the 1930-31 period ("Caviar," "Salt Water Taffy," Popcorn," et al.

+Dachshund I wonder what Caviar had to do with Russia.

From my assumptions from searching on the internet, Caviar was a delicate dish in the USSR, aka communist Russia.

Thank you! I was wondering about that since "Caviar" took place somewhere in Russia.

I swear they used what would become Popeye's theme music for every cartoon that had to do with sailors! Thank you for posting. These old black & white Terrytoons are very hard to find. In most cases your uploads are the only copies available on the Internet.

+Kat MacKay Hence the name "Terry Toons". His channel's description is that it's a guaranteed heaven for Terrytoons.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. I've been a subscriber for over a year now. Never hurts to say thank-you to someone & let them know how much their hard work means to you though...just giving props where they're due.

This is a ripoff of Mickey Mouse. The mice look exactly like him! And what kind of nonsense am I watching? This is so confusing!

check out some old Van Beuren cartoons. They were even worse.

You, sir, are watching the work of giants. Nice homage to Winsor McCay, in the mosquito part.
