As a european I can confirm that the Kazakh chocolate is VERY good. I would rank it right up there with Belgian chocolate actually. I will make sure to stock up on my next visit.

Guys, all products which comes from other countries like coffee , tea seamon , caviar etc. Are exporting to Kazakistan that means more expensive but if you noticed the food which are making in Kazakhstan are cheaper.And Everything Organic food.

The look of the grocery store in Kazakhstan has similar industrial warehouse appearance to warehouse clubs in the United States like Costco or Sam's Club (which is a membership only grocery store). The more common grocery store appearance in the U.S. does not have those high shelves and most stuff is at eye level and the boxed merchandise is in back and not visible to customers (only visible in warehouse clubs).

Idea for a video: True cost of living. What is the average salary (salary vs actual take-home). Monthly expenses (rent, tv, internet, mobile, food, transportation, etc). Life expenses (insurances, medical/dental/vision, something specific in Kazakhstan? ) Maybe some average salaries from different careers? The prices do not seem too outrageous to me, but I watch this video from a different perspective. - I easily spend $300 a week on groceries, I cook full dinners M-F, semi-breakfast (eggs, grilled cheese, veggies and fruits), various homemade soups for breakfast / dinner and lunch is usually left-overs. - I don't buy much on "snacks" or drinks - water, coffee and honey for honey water. Thanks for yet another great video that peek my interests!!

When we were in Astana (before the name change) we went to A local supermarket (Ramstore?) and they made us join as members before we could shop there. They also made us leave our bags in lockers out the front of the store. Seems to be very different to the supermarket you went to!

Prices are expensive for all that isn't local. As expensive as in Europe (France or 🇨🇭). But the meat, wow it's so cheap!
